I am thinking of Stewart warner competiton series gauges. Anybody have these? How do you like them and how do they look at night? They advertise lightning as " dials are back-lit and perimeter " ???

I have them in white face. I have not installed them yet but I have played around with green colored bulbs powered up to check the look. The bulbs are installed in the back of the gauges and there is a gap between the face and the bezel. The gap is where the perimeter lighting comes from.

Like I stated above, I have only played with the green bulbs and the numbers on the dial kind of wash away, but it has been a while since I have done this, so I may have a different opinion if I did it now.

Thanks!!! Seems like S-W arent so popular here?? I would really like the 260 KMH speedo and matching tach but i am not a big fan of perimeter lightning.

Why everything is allways so close to a perfect.. :(

The perimeter lighting works really well with the normal clear bulbs against the white face.

Could you take pic how they look at dark with lighting on ?

What do you think of these ? I would prefer lightning thru dial , not perimeter.
