Besides Advance and Paul's, what else is out there comparable but a little more affordable? I have 3 customer cars needing bumpers and other misc custom plating done, and while they will pay for quality, they don't want to spend anywhere near $1k a bumper.

I am in Tennessee and most everyone talks about Adance but there is also another business called S&H Chrome Plating and Powder. Address is:
817 Madison Industrial Rd.
Madison, TN 37115
(615) 865-0100
This business is in the Nashville area. I am not to the point of restoring my chrome so I have not done my homework on local chrome shops and do not know anything about S&H. I see S&H at some of the car shows here in the area.
Thanks.

I used these guys in south Dallas. Not on the same level as Advanced but they only charged me $250 for each of the bumpers on my 69 Firebird and they both needed straightening. I would recommend that you blast the backs of the bumpers if they are rusty since they didn't do it on mine. They turned them around in a week.
If you are considering them I recommend you get them to do a test bumper to make sure you are happy with their quality since my build is nowhere near show quality.

Wow! I was planning on having my factory bumpers rechromed. Having heard of Advanced and since they were within driving distance that's who I assumed I would use. I had no idea that it was costing $1k to have that done :faint: . Guess I better look at other options. I'll for sure be interested in what you guys find out.
