Has anybody run a 345 tire on a 69 Camaro equipped with mini tubs and DSE quadralink? Do they fit? Do they rub? Thanks!

I'm sure they'll work. If people are running 335's under 67-68's, the 345 should fit under the 69. The quarter lips will probably need to be trimmed or rolled. I'd call DSE or Frank at Prodigy Customs.

Check with Todd Akes. He has a '69 running 345's out back. I think he had to mod the quarter lips.

DSE will tell you no because they engineered it for a 335mm. I asked them a long time ago. Frank at Prodigy Customs is the man in this situation. If you intend to race the car, I would stay away from 345's regardless. If it's a street car with the occasional beating it will be fine as long as it clears the quadralink. If you intend to push it to the limit, 315-335 is the limit. The outside is really not the main conern since the body roll causes the tire to rub on the inside under load.
I still prefer the look of the 345 19 over the 335 18 but I'm more about go than show nowadays.

Just make your own tubs. I have a about a inch of room.

Your putting 2 lbs of sh.. in a 1lb bag for sure, but we have done it a few times. Project EmptyNest also runs 345s and rides really low. Emptynest drives, autocrosses and drag races at that ride height and does rub a bit on the inner wheel wells in extreme situations, but not enough to scrub speed or hurt anything.
Check it and Todds car out in the project section of our site
