Hello -
I have for sale my Silverstone Metallic 2001 M5. I purchased the car 3 years ago and at that time it had 1,500 miles on it. It was owned by BMW of North America for the first part of its life where it was very well taken care of. I had been looking for an exceptional original M5 for about 6-8 months in 2006 and worked with a dealer/broker in the Twin Cities. When this car became available I couldn’t pass it up.

I have a log book that details the first 700 or so miles of the car by BMW and have the orig window sticker. It was ordered with every option available in 2001 (over 79K new) . The car now has 39,350 Adult driven pampered miles on it. It is in excellent shape and only has the slightest of imperfections. It has never been in an accident, never been smoked in and has always been garaged. It has always been serviced by the local BMW dealer.

I honestly get maybe 6-7 months out of the year to drive it as it is stored in the winter. I have taken it on a few long trips and as expected zero issues. It has black interior with grey inserts and the brushed alum trim, which is in excellent shape, Carpet is in excellent shape. The car is always clean and the rims are in excellent shape (no curb rash or dings).

I just put on a new set of Sumitomo HTR Z III tires on it. They have right around 1,500-2000 miles on them. The body is also in great shape, no dents, dings etc, it does have a couple of small rock ships from normal driving conditions but nothing large. I have attached some pictures of the car and of the car fax report. However please feel free to run a report your self.

This car was and still is a dream car of mine and I honestly hate to sell it. I have a couple reasons for selling.
1) I would love to add a bunch of modifications to the car however, am thinking it may be better to just purchase one done. So for that reason I may also be open to trades up or down. 1st or 2nd gen protouring Camaro, Porsche, Viper, Vette, GT500, mod M5, M3, CL63AMG or even looking for a street rod/muscle car.
2) I also have a new business opportunity I am interested in investing in. If you have any questions, would like more pictures, details etc please let me know. I am located in SE, MN near Scott if anyone wanted to have him take a look at the car.
Thank you,
The pictures were taken aprox 1 month ago.
Thanks,
Chris

That is probably my favorite E39 M5 color combo, and it appears to be in excellent shape. Does it have the suede headliner? I was considering buying one of these before I picked up my '08 M3. As a BMW Master Technician, I can say that these are great cars to own and drive. Good luck with the sale.

Hey, Yes, it has the suede headliner. The technology its just crazy for a 2001. nav system, 6 disc changer, timed air exchange system, Rear window and side window shades, mirrors auto flip up, park distance on both front and rear. Also, the performance for a 4 door sedan is incredible.
Thanks for the comment.
