Currently all of our steel products (4 links, control arms, c-notches, brackets, etc.) are powdercoated a Satin Black finish. We have had some requests over the years for products coated in Silver. I think most will agree that Silver looks better, but will be tougher to keep clean. Offering both colors would push inventory levels too high or cause a delay in shipping. Neither of which are acceptable, so a decision must be made.

So, speak now or forever hold your peace..... Black or Silver?

Black, Black, Black, Black.

I don't like when things on the chassis are noticeable. Keep suspension components discrete, hidden and just let them do their job. Silver is a too "blingy" for my taste. Just my $.02

I agree..... but think a special order option is not a bad idea.

black 100% , silver is tacky under a standard black chassis

Hard to stock stuff in the raw, it gets red, iron oxide color. Every supplier I have dealt with either coats the parts in powdercoat or a zinc or cad plating. I like the cad plating. Cept for the AME rear clip, it was in the raw, I liked getting to apply my own coating. Ive seen some poor coatings from some manufactures and it needed an entirely new coating

But for powder coating, I like black. I have a couple items from ART in black. Looks ok... Its not show quality powder coating, but should keep the rust off JR

semi gloss, satin black are both nice.
silver is nice too, just remember that metallics require a clear coat, an additional step, and cost

bare metal option is nice also... send them my way too :D

I know the question was between black or silver.... but what about a charcoal color?

Either way, I agree that there should be an unfinished option.

I don't think that we are going to be able to offer any options to the color. It's gonna be one or the other. But keep in mind that you can paint over the powdercoating. And raw is not really an option either, the parts would begin to rust, as they may sit on the shelves of the larger wholesalers for some time.

Thanks for the opinions guys!

I'd leave them black, works for most people not to mention if somebody wants them a different color it can be burned/stripped and recoated to their color. plus i think i'm going to do my suspension in silver and don't want it to look like everyone else's car. lol.

I'm a little late to the party,

Black or gunmetal, silver looks tacky, not as bad as red or blue and yellow, but it is tacky, I'd say silver only works on a trailer queen
