I had a car shipped in enclosed carrier from Miami to SF in 2007. Was about $1300-1400 and I was very happy. I can dig up the name if you'd like.

If you have it handy somewhere. Don't destroy the place looking for it though:lol:

Thanks!

Might give these guys a call http://www.wdtc.net/enclosed.shtml

I have used them twice, and the service is top notch. The company is owned by V. Gaines too!

I don't know if the car is nice enough to go inside one of those trailers:rofl:

Seriously, thank you everyone for the information. I think with all of the choices here I should be able to get it handled if I need it.

Exotic Car Transport. Go to their website. Enclosed trailer and runs about 67 cents per mile. I used them from Phoenix to Atlanta.

I'm curious at how the insurance works for this. GOD forbid something happened, I assume it would be the companies liability correct? Even if the car itself wasn't insured?

I've had two friends have problems with their cars while in the carrier's hands (sorry guys, but I don't know the name of either carrier). one was a rare convertible challenger and the other was a '69 camaro. the challenger had parts missing when it arrived and the camaro had a dented door.

both companies ended up not paying a dime to my friends. i guess it is supposedly "common" for carriers to sub out their insurance to someone else, so when the **** hits the fan, they aren't involved in the situation at all. it ends up coming down to, if you can convince the insurer that it happened in the trailer. my friend with the camaro even had 'before pics" and those didn't help him out one bit

I think it would be a good idea to ask who was ever had problems with a carrier and how well it was taken care of, because accidents do happen.

it's kind of like asking about how good a classic car insurer is, and people saying a certain one is great because they love taking your money, but they have never had to put in a claim, so they really can't speak for the company's creditentials
