But this is the best part:
The models lean seductively over the hood of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, wearing only tiny yellow underwear emblazoned with the car's logo. Grasping a wash cloth, they rub down the car until it sparkles as an unseen cameraman asks about the car.
The videos, broadcast on YouTube, use sex appeal to sell Camaros to guys. Only the models aren't women, they're men.
The racy commercials are part of a new advertising campaign targeting gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.

See their philosphy,no one will buy them and they'll say "see nobody wants a gas guzzling sports car" and push smart cars on everyone, thats the new GM(Government Motors)

Nobody will buy them -- because have you seen the additional dealer markup these dickwad car lots are asking for??
I've seen 10K plus -- that's a hell of a markup on a 35K car!
And they wonder why they're bankrupt...
Same up north here Greg. 10k mark up on SS and RS both. Even up in Skagit Co. Land of the truck sellers.

I drove one this week in fact from a customer of mine. Same POS chevy it has always been. They intend to put out cars with cheap plastic parts. It's garbage, I can see why it doesn't sell. Once GM start making cars that don't look and feel cheap, they will be much better off. Sorry, I have to call it like I see it.

FWIW: I couldn't find anything on Youtube with the Poofter's trying to sell the Camaro.
Maybe this is BS.
Don't fret yet.
If this is true, this would be a perfect example why the Government can't do ANYTHING right.
Even if this is BS, it is so PC and Stupid that it is almost believable.
God help us if this is a verifiable fact.

I'm calling shenanigans on GM not selling them. There is a GM dealer next to the office. They have 4 chevy stores in the chain. Sold all the Camaro's 3K over list. Spoke with manager yesterday, told him I would think twice about doing business with a dealer willing to gouge customers like that.
He (personally) has sold 15 vehicles since Monday. He said business has been pretty brisk on all lines across the board. They also have a couple of the new Mustangs. Sold 1 still have 2 on the lot.

I cant blame GM on this, it's the dealers marking them up.and for the big Dummies willing to pay 10k over sticker? shame on them! remember when the shelby GT500 was new? 20k+:wow: markups!!! they killed the T-bird too. Dealers should be happy anyones buying cars! Sports cars are bought for more than just transportation. How about the new(now already dead) Turbo Cobalt? a buddy has one and I think its a helluva car for 24k added tune - now over 300hp! -handles great(18" tires) Brembo brakes. I'd of bought one for the wife but she dosent want payments :( after the new cars are out for a while the "market adjustment" will go away. After all you should know better to buy the first year a car is made(84 vette-remember that? - wait a year or two till they are de-bugged! I believe they are making cars alot better than the 70's-80's for sure and shame on us for buying foreign cars(not me except for having a couple of old bugs) I believe in keeping our $ here in the US as I care more about where I am glad to be living than overseas.

Gen 5 .org lists a few dozen dealers selling @ or below sticker. Its also BS that they are not selling. I passed on on the way fishing planed on test driving on the way back. Sold it 2 hrs after it hit the lot.

every dealer in my area has them for $7K over msrp or so. That's what is killing the sales, absolutely stupid to hold out for this when they aren't selling any cars to begin with.
I have yet to see a new Camaro on the road. I'm sure there are some, but I have still not seen a single one in the Sacramento area.

I was at a show last Sunday - on a dealers lot... They had 5 V8's on the lot - all $9995 over MSRP... They were still there at the end of the day, and all anyone could talk about was what a "rip off" this dealer was... despite them supporting a hot rod show.
I've paid MSRP for 2 cars in my life - a special ordered 650i Convertible... and an M5... (the M5 sucked but that's another discussion and I have since sold it). I also waited for the SRT 8 300 to come off in price and bought one at a steep discount (since sold it too -- too much plastic and it was noisy even with the MagnaFlow exhaust).
I'd buy a new Camaro tomorrow but won't out of spite for the stupid dealers. Besides which - I HATE THE PROCESS of buying a new car. You have to spend all day with some toothless moron that doesn't know a 6 from an 8... can't make a sale... and can't quote a price even if you offered MSRP!
Now - ask me how I really feel....

I have yet to see one at a dealership. Probably have to venture to a bigger city. I heard the 3 that one local dealer had went for 3-7K over sticker, so it actually seems like a shortage of supply.

I saw one almost everyday before I left on vacation crusing the streets of Vegas. I even saw one in the middle of Wyoming on the way to the Black Hills! Not bad for the money.....but it's no substitue for the real thing.....:D
And to the folks paying over sticker....take a look at Tone's post. GM needs a new business model. Let's go back to the 1800's and think about supply and demand. Soon there will be 25 Camaros on every Chevy lot in the nation just like when you drive by and look at the trucks. I have never seen Toyota oversupply there vehicles. HMMMMMM.....

As LexusTech said, there are plenty of dealers willing to sell at or below sticker. While you can look down on GM for this gouging, I prefer to blame those who pay it! If no one was paying it they wouldn't be able to do it.
Camaro5 and fifthgen.org all have lists of dealers selling at MSRP.
The Dealer I Work For Is Only Selling For 1k Over The List ---gm Has Put A Cap On The Amount You Are Allowed To Mark Them Up So
What I Was Told -- The Dealers Can Get In Trouble For The Huge Marks Above Msrp --once Again From What I Was Told --- I Work In Service -- But I Do Know That All The Ss Models Are All Sold Units That We Get In That Have Been Ordered And We Are Not Going To Have Any Stock Unit Ss Modles Unit Mid August -- We Have 6 Cylinders Which We Are Getting 900 Over Msrp On ---so They Must Be Selling Well

This has been brought up often, but the bottom line is, GM can't control the dealers ADM's (mark ups). The dealer is a customer of GM, they set their own prices. I suppose allocations could be used as a penalty, but obviously GM doesn't care much, they sure didn't learn with the GTO and we saw how that went.
I think supply and demand will eventually come back to reality. Dealers are asking what they can, but that doesn't mean you have to pay it. Find a dealer that is selling at MSRP, there are plenty. I've seen about a dozen on the road so far here in MN, various colors. They are growing on me.
You know what they say, a fool and his money are soon parted.

I would bet, the people who made this video are the ones that got left behind when GM owned Fuji Industries/Subaru......j/k
