Fitting up 'Speedtech' arms ???

is there a trick to getting lower speedtech control arms into position (69 camaro) They are way to tight to be close to going in. Any trix too this?

The issue is in the subframe, the bushings that have been used in the past may have been shorter and the mechanic may have used a inpact to tighten the bolts and it colapses the metal and now the new bushings and sleeves are slightly longer.

Have a look at the pics, this is the best fix we have come up with to spread the mounting locations to make the arms fit. The arms are fine it is the subframe that needs to be manipulated.
if you look at Project halftrak True had the same problem and he also explanes how to remedy the problem.

had the exact same problem on my little s10 project and did the same thing.

thats a heck on an idea. I took a rosebud torch and lightly heated and then found a metal block the size of the opening and hammered it in. Did a little hammer work to flatten out the outside. Turned out good. I wish I would have thought of the bolt/nut/washer idea.

that's exactly what I have done also. very easy trick. I used 1/2" threaded rod I had laying around and a couple nuts and washers.
