were working from the back of the car to the front and we are at the hood.i bought a new goodmark cowl hood for my 68 camaro.the hood fits decent and i thought it was pretty good until we noticed how the hood had dips on each side .it seems where the hood is glued or welded to the underbrace it has humps and bumps/lol
do these hoods usually need so much work to get them smoothed out?my hood is going to need to be skimmed with filler to get it flat.is that just the way it goes?
thank you

my hood had a few low spots, but nothing like you are saying. Luck of the draw I guess. Everything repop needs work!!! :willy:

Does the hood "oil can" when you push on the sheetmetal? We always put a product like Fusor 121 in between the bracing and the sheetmetal to make the panel as solid as possible.
