My name is Justin and I live in San Diego. I have been looking at this site and dreaming of starting a project myself for quite some time.

I finally found the 69 Camaro I was looking for. Unfortunately it's going to be a very slow project because I get out of the Navy in 2 mos and then I will be jobless for a little while.

Its all original except for the engine and paint...needs a lot of work to be where I want it to be but it's a great start.

I'll take some pictures soon and post them.

Welcome aboard Jwalk from another (fairly) junior member. I hear ya on the getting out thing. I've got less than 5 years left and I'm damn near in a scramble trying to find a decent project so that I can make some headway before they "pipe me ashore". Good looking starter though. Almost makes me want to change my direction. Haha. Keep us informed.

Welcome aboard, hope the car looks just as good from the underside, that way you can buy the fun stuff from the beginning.

Fortunately it is rust free. A lot of people claimed to be selling a rust free 69 but I finally found someone who wasn't just saying that.

Yeah, "rust-free" to a lot of people means, it's got a good paint job and you just can't see the rust. lol
GOOD FIND!!

That or they just "aren't charging" you for all the rust that hides away.

Got some new parts

Global West Upper/Lower control arms w/ Del a Lum bushings
Hotchkis 1 1/8" Sway Bar
QA1 Coilovers
Lee 670 box
SC&C X-Tall upper ball joints
Moog steering components
9" w/ Wilwood brakes, bought for $1500 never been used

Still need to figure out front brakes and what wheels to go with. I'm thinking 19x12 rear and 18x8 front

Great starting place, and parts already. I'm a So Cal local, so if you need help or just want someone to complain too if/when the parts don't work, let me know. Welcome!

I'm currently stationed at North Island. I've spent a lot of my career as a BUD/S student but it never worked out for me so it's time for me to move on.

Welcome. Nice starting point with the parts. I have been "starting" on my 69 for 5 years now. I think I bought a key chain for it so far.
