Car is back on the market.

$38,000 OBO.

Chicago area.

Job loss forces sale of my pro-touring 1969 Camaro.

If you were at Goodguys Chicago 2008 you may have seen this car running the autocross (attached video). Ran closely against some of the best and most expensive out there.

Car started life as a clean southern shell. Replaced quarters (ex-drag car had arches cut out) and other new metal up front. Body was taken down to bare metal, firewall smoothed, and finished with PPG primer and single stage black. Engine: All forged 475 hp 383 from M&R engines. Trans: Rebuilt Muncie M21. Rear: 8.5" 3:73 Auburn posi. Suspension: Hotchkis TVS, Global West uppers and sub-frame connectors. Wheels: Coys 18" with Nitto Extreme tires. Brakes: C5 Z06 front, 12" disc rear. Interior: Covans/Autometer dash and DSE cage. Car was completed in late 2007. Has some minor paint blemishes as it was built to drive. Less than 3000 miles on entire car.

Just about every nut, bolt, bracket, and thing-a-ma-jig new from D&R, Tamaraz, or Classic Industries. Car was a shell+ and needed just about everything. I have all reciepts.

Needs wipers (have all parts but motor), adjust shifter (pops out of 3rd), and adjust door gaps (new weatherstripping changed gaps).

New 383 475/450 from M&R engines $5500 plus all new:
Holly hp 750 and red pump
Full MSD ignition (6AL, wires, coils, distributor)
March pully system
Aluminum radiator
Hays flywheel/clutch
Rebuilt M21 (inc. new gears)
Custom drive shaft
Just built rear end (3:73 Auburn/Richmond)
Front/rear suspension and brakes (all new)
Interior (all new)

I fixed the links. Somehow the complete links didn't make it into the thread.

If I had a job, I might have made an offer. (Got laid off in March.) Is the car pretty much rust free? I saw a '69 Camaro SS/RS at the Summer Nats that was for sale and was looking for the owner to some questions about the car. Looked pretty clean inside/out.
I hope everything works out for you. Take care.

While detailing the car today, I saw that the cage needs to be re-welded (cracked weld in trunk), and I broke the front spoiler coming into my driveway. Also, the valves could use an adjustment.

I do not have the time nor the money to fix.

I have lowered the price to $32,000 for a quick sale!

Also forgot to mention that the NO2 system is NOT on the car anymore.

Was not used so I sold it.

Thanks.
