Looking to see some pimped out Protouring, Resto-mods, or whatever is out there that you guys own on here. I just acquired a beautiful 1970 Olds 442 clone from my Uncle, and I'm looking for some idea's on what other people did to theirs to modify them , brakes, engine, 6-speeds, interior, gauges, bezels, etc....anything. POST PICS PLEASE!!!!
First thing I've already started doing was replacing weathered interior components and I'm putting 17" rims
on it so that I can upgrade the brake systems to something modern like 13"F and 12"R discs.

Well, I'm not really sure what a "pimped out" car looks like... maybe one you are likely to see prostitutes in? In any case, here are a few pics of my '72 convertible. It's not close to being done yet, and as we are readying our house for a move to Tennessee in March 2010, it looks like it won't be done until next year!

That's the 2nd custom gauge bezel I've seen. Car looks great BTW....I would love to own a Vert.
where did you have it made because I'm thinking of losing the original cluster
and going with some Autometer SuperComp II's. I saw a 1970 442 at the local
cruise with this gauge cluster bezel that I really liked too.
Also,
Where did you get the custom inlays for the lower dash, instead of the wood grain ??
I have to replace mine, but I'd like something a bit different.
Was making the 3rd gen seats work a royal PITA or did you have a shop do it ??
Seats look cool with the added bolsters.

Thanks for the compliment, I made the insert with aluminum and teak.

Thanks again... I made that too. It's made to be a bit larger then the original plastic so as to hide the ShrinkyDink twisted plastic of the original.

I just welded brackets to the floor to accommodate a set of late model power seat mechanisms.
