I think a total of five cars were built but I am not 100% certain since we only built one of them.
We built the very first one. The red Super Coupe that sold at Barrett for almost $500K to Ron Pratte, he still owns it. Our relationship imploded before the car hit the auction block.
The second car was built by variety of shops in Sarasota. The third car was started by Blue Moon in Orlando and finished by one of my ex-employees. I think they made arrangements with him before he left my shop because if you look at their marketing materials at Barrett & since it mentions him by name and not Time Machines.
He built two more cars, one of them was the yellow speedster that sold at Russo & Steele in Jan 08 for I believe $150K. I was told he had $420K in it but I do not know if that is true or not.
That is all the info I know about Motion. I hope that helps...

Thanks Mike. Sounds pretty Sad. I was hoping for a resurection of Motion as an icon. Even hoping they could get into the 2010 mix.
Sounds to me like things went south in a hurry with the program if the cars are jumping form shop to shop.
So Sad. I grew up on Long Isalnd and no many people who were part of the opriginal Motion era.. I rememeber Joel and a bit of a strange "Bird" (insiders will chuckle at the irony here)
There's a book coming out about the car (or cars?) this year, but I don't know any details other than that. They wanted to use some of the pics I had taken of the SuperCoupe and I had to sign some publishing legal paperwork for them to use/print those pics.
I noticed that they added Google Adsense to the top of their website. That's really too bad, it cheapens the whole site IMO.
