Enclosed trailer in Central CA area?

Well it looks like I'll be picking up the Cuda real soon and it will still be in bare steel. I have access to an open trailer, but even with tarps etc etc, the bare steel makes me nervous. Since the car is in WA, we need to go through Oregon etc, so weather is always a concern

I called around to some trailer places in the phone book.... they either dont rent them at all or wont let me take one out of state.

I have a friend in Fremont that has one, but that might not work out...not looking good to be able to get it.

So does anyone have an enclosed trailer in the Norcal or central valley of CA area that they would be willing to loan or rent to me?

if you bring enough saran wrap, just wrap the whole thing so there is no wayt of it getting wet.
June is pretty much dry around here though doesn't rain much. I already have my sprinklers turned on.

Ive got one for the GTO its a 20' enclosed trailer.
I could go and pick it up for a fee. Or you could rent it just depends what you want to do PM me.

yeah we did the "suran warp" thing last time.... I got a bunch of the industrial package/pallette wrap stuff from Enco.

I didnt work as well as I had hoped.... it bunched up and tore pretty easy on the sharp edges etc. I wrapped tarps, then a cheap car cover and then the wrap...... it didnt hold up to HWY speeds for very long. Pieces started to come off and flap all over.....it started to slide and bunch up.

You might want to give Fellers a call. They are a sign supply company. There is a vinyl material that has a removable adhesive that you can wrap over the whole vehicle. It would help if the windows were in to keep the vinyl from flapping. Anywho, it's a thought. Here's Fellers number 1-800-654-8405. Tell them what your planning o0n doing and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

save the money to spend on more parts and just bring open trailer.
if you do catch a bit of moisture. Just run a DA over the car to clean it up again.

I think I would just roll the open trailer, since the car has been in bare metal for longer then 4 hours, your going to have to sand the crap out of the sheetmetal or have the car reblasted any ways, Rust Mort will kill any surface rust. Having the car reblasted will get where your sander cannot to prep the body. So to do it properly you probably going to have to reblast the car just prior to first prime. If anybody has been touching the car it will have oils in the metal and begin to rust and if you going to have nice paint work done. Blasting it is great insurance from contamination.

Plus it is summer, Check the weather and haul ass.

You can also just get some cheap spray paint and spray the car so that it keeps it from rusting in the short time.

No... there was a delay with the car, so we postponed the trip. Unfortunately I wont be able to make it up there for a couple more weeks now.
