I have never had either but have heard nothing but comments about the pro-charger stuff! We are building a Chevelle with a 540ci BBC in it and we hope to talk the customer into a procharger!

I know Frank(prodigy customs) is a dealer on them!

Well According to what is the Fastest Blowers used to day in PSCA racing Pro Charger Hand down only becuase they move the most air volume and Keep it from getting hotter compared to the others

But Voretech possibly has the better pricing

ATI PROCHARGER is the only choice. P1sc self contained oil- 2300 bucks. best money I have spent. The power is unreal. And if you really want more power and have the money step us to D1 model or F model, there unreal. If carbureted engine then the install is very easy, just dont forget your fuel system must be able to handle the increased power.

go with vortech at least you wont regret it .

wait till procharger forgets to put loctite on the impelar shaft , and wont stand behind it .

wait till procharger forgets to put loctite on the impelar shaft , and wont stand behind it . was it procharge that wouldn't stand behind it or the dealer that sold it? I help alot of people with power adder's and haven't personally heard of any problem's, but if this is the case, i will surely help spread the word.......hotwheels of insanemustangs.com

Its common at Pro Charger. I was very good friends with an owner of a local speed shop. He wouldn't sell Pro Charger as they were hard to reach and didn't stand behind their warranty.

Thats seems strange to me. We installed one a 94 Lt 1 camaro and after running it for awhile it seemed to whine more than normal. We sent it back and they installed a new front bearing in the housing at no charge. I can promise you that if I have any problems with mine and get no help I will surely let every one here no about it. I do know that in the past if you pay a one time fee of 52 bucks and dont change the pulley size for the first 3 years you got an unconditional warranty on all parts and labor.

I've tried to get on at ATI/Procharger 3 times. I have 11 years of professional automotive aftermarket and hot-rod building experience. I'm not bragging, but I know my stuff and they still won't hire me for a tech line/shop tech position. A buddy of mine that works the phones there says they keep hiring lame-ass phone jockeys. That's a lot of their problem.

I guess I'm overqualified for a position at ATI. They just want run-of-the-mill car guys that will work for eight bucks an hour handling the phones.

Like any tech service there are some better techs then others. We have sold quite a few, and have not had any issues with quality that were not taken care of imediatly. Of coarse, we as the dealer are sure to see things thorugh the process.

i had a procharger that almost went around the block before it blew apart thir brackets flex which causes the belt to slip and there customer service is no good and what warrenty my friend went threw 2 prochargers they both blew apart he now just bought a vortech and its one nice piece and has gone the distance all summer. check blowers for less.com they have the best price and he does not sell procharger anymore due to all the problems with them.

man my buddy ran a vortech ysi on a firebird quick car about 9s on a 10"tire full interior. then made the switch to a similar procahrger i believe it was a f1. car went in the mid 8s before he sold it. similar boost also. procharger stuff is verry good and they know how to make it work with a carb too. which save a ton of money.
