Very excited! Just bought a Pro-Charged 427! Pretty good deal and couldn't pass it up. Going to have to study up and learn more on pro-charged motors.
Problem is my car will not be ready for a motor for about a year or so. What is the best way to store or preserve the motor? I think I have some ideas like change the oil, drain the carb and tape up the exhaust ports. I don't want to back off the rockers if I don't have too, but will if necessary. What else can I do to help preserve the carb and cylinders and anything else that could go bad? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks

Climate controlled environment and turn it over once in awhile manually. Drain the carb, tape up the holes!

In addition, I would put a small amount of oil in the cylinders through the spark plug holes just to prevent surface corrosion. Then reinstall spark plugs.

I fogged my engine cylinders through the spark plug holes. Check out your local parts store and they should have engine fogger in a spray can.
