I agree with Fessler -- it would be so nice if they'd make a tour out on the BEST COAST (LOL) once in awhile. There's plenty of great cruising out here - the weather COULD be better - and there's certainly enough vendors to support etc.

Thanks for the great pics!

Nice work on the photos Max.. sharp but still shows action.

Did you crop them or cut off part in the shot?

I see Kinan's car is done.. he's been riding my a$$ about it and how it's going to destroy me at the optima event. Looks pretty bad ass.

Wish I were there.. sigh...

What were the fast times at the auto-x?

Steve - Thanks for the compliments. I have to admit, the only one that is cropped is the last photo, the rest of the photos are straight off of my camera. :)

fast times were low 27's. An Atom showed up (i have photos) and blew everyone's doors off and it wasn't even trying that hard... you could tell he was barely getting on the throttle.

I got photos of EVERY single car that went through the AutoX, roughly 170 cars.

Nice pictures . Thanks from those less fortunate..

Thanks :)

Post them all ! :D

I agree they should have it out in Sunny Arizona, I was in Racine today and the wind was blowing right off the lake. It felt like early April. I would love to post the pics I should of took but my Dumba** took my memory card out of my camera and forgot to put it back in. Maybe somebody else can post the pics from Racine if they have any.

Did any of you guys see the Ring Bros. booth with the Razor in there. Those guys are pure craftsman, the interior is drop dead gorgeous.

Hey Scott,
Are the pictures of the vehicles on the street at the beginning of your pictures in downtown Racine. If so I didnt even realize there were cars up there. I though they were all down by the waterfront.
Who all ran at Great Lakes prior to the rain? Was this an afterthought because there was no autox in Racine.

Well Ill be #@%* It looks like I missed half the show. 1/2 the time spent talking to the Mike Ring and the other half waiting in line for hotdogs for the kids. I guess if I would of cut through town instead of driving the short cut I know to the waterfront I would of noticed all the other cars.
At 10mpg with the truck I would have burned a tank full trying to cut through that crowd LOL

Nah, looks way worse than it actually was. The rear LCA bolt that threads into the frame backed out. Jacked it up and threaded the bolt back in and back on the road in minutes. Only when I backed up with the wheels at full lock did the fender extension get bent. Kurt is already painting a new one for me.

No Mar-tay pics?! Now I'm bummed Marty had to work...:(

BTW-What's your Dad up to with that so fine 'Five Seven?

yep - work sucks but sometimes you have to do it. Indy GG isn't looking good either.

57 - what 57 ??

No he's taken to a few cruise nights and I took it to Deriks car show at his Dad's shop. But other then that it's just collecting dust.

I am going to try to bring it home this weekend and clean it a little and maybe raise the front end and inch

Yeah, I agree Marty, that is a really good looking car.
I was talking to Morgan at the Summer Nats in Worcester last year. I love the color green he went with and the red line tires set it off. It was one of my favorites there.

We made it home yesterday afternoon. Kevin and I left Detroit metro at 6am local time, drove through all the construction and toll booths in Chicago, bumped into Tim from Paradise Road Rod & Customs and talked for a bit, stopped for gas 3 times, had lunch, and got home at 3pm local time. With the time change, it was a 10 hour trip. 660 miles in just under 10 hours averaging 66 mph. We were making good time. lol The car was averaging right around 21mpg on the way home, too.

Aside from that bolt backing out, the car ran great.

We ran the One Lap Camaro in the Nevada Open Road deal.. running 100 miles, 90 of them at tripple digit speeds, we nailed down 20 mpg.. lol

The Jackass Camaro is just so right. I have a question about the tubular cage/brace/downtube coming forward from the firewall. Just out from the firewall - the connection of sorts - is this so they are removable? Interesting setup. What sort of mechanism is that? Does the other (front) end have the same mechanism? [Edit] I studied the picture a little more. It looks like a bung welded to the end of the tubing, both ends, then one bolt through the top and another through the bottom. Is this correct? Who makes these things?

I agree Morgan's car looks sweet...

What's up Wayne? How are you?
If you go to the 2009 Summer Nats this year, you may be able to see his car in person. He lives in Shrewsbury, MA I believe, which is like a couple towns over from Worcester. Later.

The black 69 is mine. Thanks for the compliments. We had a blast at Bristol. Got to meet and talk to Charley. Nice guy!

That is a very nice car. I read about it in the mag. Have the copy here now. I like the back story. I wish I had kept a few of my past cars but none were as cool as your first car. Congrats on the article and glad to see you still have it.

Thanks Marty - ditto. I was really hoping to see you on tour this year. Also thanks to Tony & Wayne for the compliments.

Tony - it was great to see you at the N.E. Summer Nats again this year, sorry I didn't bring the '68 but it was still filthy from Power Tour.

Alright, I'll ask...

What's with the backwards pulleys attached to the core support?

sixtnine, your car is amazing! You absolutely nailed the wheels/tires and stance.

I'm assuming that your referring to The Nova(Notorious) from Rad Rides? Somewhere in the thread on that car, it's mentioned that they mounted the supercharger in the core support backwards.

Hey Morgan! It was cool meeting up/talking again this year. The '10 Camaro looks good. I still can't get over how people came flocking over to it when you pulled in!!:wow:
(Even if the '68 was filthy, it still would have looked better than all of the other cars there! She's a beauty.)
