I have a zz502 in my 67 camaro. I added an msd ignition, super comp headers, a victor jr intake and an 850 mighty demon. I have a 4 hole 1 inch spacer and am wondering if I am helping the engine or hurting it? Should I have a 4 hole spacer or an oper spacer? what would be better?

You should be good as the rule of thumb is:
Open plenum = 4-hole
Dual plane = open
The 4-hole will enhance bottom end & the best thing about spacer is if you wonder it is simply bolt on so try it with and without.
In some cases a spacer can be worth as much as 20 ponies
In some cases a spacer can be worth as much as 20 ponies
So can swapping the Demon out for a Holley.
Shaker455 is correct in regards to the spacer hole configuration.
But on another note, I have had nothing but headaches trying to tune a Demon carb for street use.

HRBS,
Your not alone in that statement as Demon had a bunch of quality issues.
I have one here that the rear well plugs were leaking and drawing air into the main wells.
