Rpm's 69 Bird(the Old Prorides Gang)

Well, we started this car a few years back and its finally just about complete. We have a ton of build photos if anyone has questions and want to see more just let me know what you would like to see. Its finally at the trim shop and we have high hopes it will be at Columbus along with a few other fresh projects we have in the works. I started RPM 7 years ago and built and finished the 56 Olds with Mike Terzich, then hooking up with Denny Terzich on a few other projects. We did alot with those guys threw the last five years. The ProRides name always stuck with the cars we built for them and no one really new the RPM name even though we where building cars for other customers. To Mike & Denny it was always a hobby, to me & my 10 employees its our LIFE. All we care about is building kickass cars & driving the crap out of them. Denny has recently started a business called Collectible Cars by Design. It is buying and selling cool cars. We didn't want to keep rolling as ProRides because I didn't want to get mixed up with buying other peoples car and selling them. So I am sorry for the confusion about the RPM/ProRides name. So... anyhow let us know what you think about the Bird and I'll try to get the Chevelle we are build on here in the next day or so. Thanks Guys

The front end is a modified Fatman that has shockwaves on it. The rearend is Detroit Speeds Quadra Link with a shockwaves on it modified by a c in the rear rails and moving the floor around to make it all work while still getting the exhaust all the way out the back. The floors thru out the car have been moved and reworked to make nothing hang below the rockers the car will roll all the way down. Plus the floors are flat in the car and the seats mount super low in the car. There are jack bolt bungs weld in square tubing along the rockers for future service work and ease of jacking it up down the road. We added an 1 1/4 to the rockers also' Wheels & Tires are CHICAYNES from Billet Specialties but they have ARP bolts machined into them and they are 19s front and 20 rears, we then powdered the centers bronze along with backsides and then powdered the ARP bolts and valve stems black. The nose has a boat load of time in it and we did it 3 times till we liked it we also removed the old nasty impact rubber along the headlight buckets too. Thanks again guys

Do you think You could get me a measurement off that car?

I need the heights of the fender lips on the axle center line. Just the lowest point on each fender lip at the axle center line.

Car looks really sleek. Plus Firebirds are kind of growing on me lately. :thumbsup:

On the measurements do you mean from the fender lip along the top of the of the wheel opening to the center of the wheel or from the rocker up to the center.

Just from the ground to the fender lip at the axle center line. Shold be some where 20-22 in the front and similar in the rear.

Can't wait to check it out at Columbus.

Chris, Our customer Bryan is a super cool, we went to Barrett Jackson with him and man does he know good and bad. He has one killer collection of cars!!!
I'll get on the pictures as soon as we have some time, I also try to get a thread rolling on the Chevelle too.
Denny and his dad did the work on the 56 Chevy. We at the shop built the 56 OLDs that was up for the Custom Rod of the Year.

Cool just interested, I think that is the lowest 69 I have ever seen with 19's on the front. We are working on a 69 and could just use the reference.

Great job, not over done. Being alittle bias, I believe when the birds are sculptured right, they're some of the best looking cars. Probably because you don't see them very often at the shows.
