There's plenty on eBay. But get ready for a 5,000 - 15,000 markup.
Go to Camaro5 for further info.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping to avoid paying the "market adjustment" if possible.

There is a guy on ls1tech saying they are selling them for sticker, just for ls1tech members. Its worth a shot anyway. I was just reading it this morning so hope it turns out to be legit. He must be a salesman for somebody but not sure where.

I think your best bet might to be to order a car.
I don't think they are marking those cars up, if you can wait the wait.
I know that the cars they have on the lot are going to be marked up for sure. My dealership told me they are marking up 2SS/RS Camaros that they have coming in. I am also a member of camaro5.com and I hear alot about this stuff.
GOOD LUCK!

Anyone that pays more then sticker for any car is commiting financial suicide! Wait a couple months, they will be discounted a couple grand.

From what I understand, the SS plant has been closed for the time being. All the SS's that have been made up through a month or so is all there is going to be until the plant reopens, possibly for the next model year.

I can't possibly see GM having a plant dedicated for two trim levels of one model. Maybe they've shut down SS production for now, but I would imagine it's for another reason.

Of course, I have been wrong once before. :)

does it have to be in California?

The SS has a recall due to some wiring rubbing on the exhaust and that is why they have stopped producing the SS. GM announced last week they were going to increase Camaro Production and make the plant 24/7 to meet demands. I would think GM will get the wire relocated fairly quick.

A number of employees at GM have gone on record saying that you should not buy a car over MSRP. Some have gone as far as asking to report those selling them at a higher markup. After looking at some around here, I quickly found a couple at MSRP.

I wouldn't expect to pay much less than MSRP, but after research, I wouldn't pay a penny more. :)

I'm not sure about that. I hear that they are looking to go full steam ahead and maybe even overtime for the plant in Canada, where the Camaro is made.
As for the wiring issue, I'm not sure if that is going to set them back too long.
I WOULD NOT pay over MSRP for that car. I thought about selling my car for one maybe?? But, after seeing it in person for the first time with Tony Rose, I was quickly turned off. Even though it was the base trim that we saw, I still did not like it. I'm sure the 2SS/RS would not persuade me to buy one neither.
