our local dealers will unveil the new Camaro tonight with other activities.
We plan on riding up to see the works - however, I understand they haven't yet gotten their shipments of cars yet...... :_paranoid
All around they will have vintage Camars on show to kick it off.
Anybody else going to one in your area?

Cool stuff for you.
Kinda tough to go to an unveiling when the item to be unveiled is missing...lol
Just to have all of the vintage Camaros there sounds like it's worth it.

Just got back. They had a red RS V6 and a black SS 6 speed auto. Very cool cars. Sat in the V6, punched and pulled the buttons. Nice rides.
I see on ebay dealers are selling them over sticker. They had no prices on these two (brought the SS in from another area).
The event was fun and it was great to see locals. We have some nice Camaros in this town - more than I thought.
Anyway - a gut full of hot dogs, apple pie..and diet coke makes a fellow feel pretty satisfied after seeing the new Camaro - one of the last great American Icons left........

I'm dropping my '69 off at the local Chevrolet dealership Friday morning, where they're shooting a commercial...Saturday, they're having a BBQ and car show, too! Should be pretty fun!

Yep, the RS doesn't have the (I'm going to eat your lunch) look for the SS - but it shouldn't anyway - has to be some differentiation. Must of it seemed to be in the stance - then there is the tale tell front scoop over the nose on the SS that tells you it means business. The wheels make a difference too.
Both of them sit too high for my taste, and I'm sure we'll see them slammed soon enough. The wheels wells are HUGE - and make the 21" optional rims almost look like they aren't enough - but lowering it will solve that visual aspect.
The back seat is only usable if the driver is under 5'6" or so - but that is the same for the Mustang...and prior Camaro.
Right now I see them going over sticker on e-bay - so as long as that love fest is going on...I can't even consider it.
HOWEVER, I'd love to pick one up (burgundy) and paint the same stripes on the hood and trunk as my 69 - and have a "matching" pair so the wife has a reliable cool vehicle. Right now she drives our 07 Silverado - so the gas mileage bill wouldn't be any worse - just more smiles for the miles in a SS.
