Looks good. I'm wondering why you didn't line up the b-pillar with the back of the door. Will you be using a small quarter glass window that rolls up and down right there? Cool either way.

It looks like you gave it a subtle chop also.

Thanks I wanted it to look like chevy built a 2 door hard top wagon so it would have had a 1/4 window . The 1/4 window rolls up & down . Heres a pic with the window templates .

It has about a 2in chop . The hard top is about 2in shorter then a sedan.

That is way too cool and I love the hardtop window openings in there! I designed a 64 Fairlane wagon the same way for a guy over in Bremerton that you might have seen. I'm right over the bridge in Tacoma. I'll be watching for that wagon!

That is a really cool wagon. The early Novas have always been a fav of mine, I'll be following the build for sure.
I'm up on the north end of the sound. In Stanwood (North of Everett by Camano Island) I see youthpastor, JayR,novasrus, and maybe Brett will see this too? We all should get together at some point here and put faces to names. Can't forget our friends in Oregon too. (uh Tony, dying to see yours done).
Sorry for the hijack, just happy to see another one of us in Washington.

Right on...
I'm a huge wagon fan...I'm also about 35 miles down the road from you in Bremerton, uhhhh, Bummertown...

I'm building a '67 Chevelle 2 door wagon...I wanted to do the hardtop thing, but it was just so much easier to use El Camino doors...I need to get some pics posted here on this site...I have a couple on the chevelles.com site:

http://www.chevelles.com/wagons/66wagon.html

So what are you going to do about windows?...That's where I am lost...A quick check sends me to California with a price tag of $3000 for the pair of custom rears...OUCH...

Great project, keep us posted!!!

The car looks really good! Are you going to display the car at GG puyallup?
I think there are quite a few Lateral-G members going to that event. It will be good to finally meet evryone there.
Hope to see you and your car there!

Yeah I know Ed...He is great with glass...

But let me get this straight...Is your side/tail glass curved or is it just a flat piece of glass that he cut to your template size?...

I was under the impression after talking to quite a few glass shops that you can't cut tempered, curved glass...It just explodes...So you have to end up making the whole jig for the new complex curved pieces for right and left...

Maybe I'll have to go bug Ed...I think he was supposed to stop by Mark Cain's shop to look at doing glass for this baaaad ass '36 Lincoln convert that Mark is updating with some newer factory supercharged/injectecd Lincoln Mark IV hemi headed motor with a computer controlled/paddle shifted 6 speed auto trans...Some deep pockets on this one...But that's usually the way Cain rolls though...

Thanks for the info...

Looks like there may have been just a 'pinch' of humidity on this trip!! LOL

I remember driving my 67 big block Vette drop top to Bloomington with my (at the time) 10 year old son... HE had never been in the midwest and felt the heat and humidity. We're walking around the fairgrounds and he keeps telling dumb azz Dad about the golf carts -- and "why don't we get one of those Dad?" To which I reply - "they're only for VIPS and the Show people"... then he spots a big booth with "Golf Carts for Rent".... He's still bugging me about that some 12 years later.

Great pictures by the way - sure tells the story! Glad the car (and driver) made the trip and hopefully had a lifetime of adventure and memories.
