4 gen LPP header install in First Gen firebird

They dont fit perfect but they will work. They are stainless steel and cost 500$. I have unisteer rack and pinon steering and I just have to put a very small dent to clear. My problem is the crossmember. It is smack dab in the middle of my headers. I need to either cut up the crossmember or route the exhaust under it but then it will hang low to the ground in that spot. Any ideas?

What brand crossmember is that? My ATS tucks up alot higher so the exhaust can run under it. I would look into it.

I'd also try the latest version of the ATS x-member. It tucks up tight to the floor and gives alot more header clearance.

Ahhhh, good ole S&P crossmember. Exactly what I'm using on my car. I need to look at mine exactly but I also don't have much clearance. Just hate paying $300 something for a new one. Not too impressed with the S&P stuff here lately. I had to use Car Shop 1" setback plates and it barely matches up with the crossmember. That one isn't adjustable so it sets where it sets :mad:

Headers look good, but man, that crossmember has issues.

I figured out what to do. I will cut the S&P crossmember up and use 4 inch square tubing and create a notch for the exhaust to go through. Will post some pics. I should have got a ATS but didnt have enough funds for that.
