I spent last weekend in Pleasanton pimping our services and came back to find my boys Jason, Brycen and Erik and been hard at work all weekend and were still at it at 11pm sunday night when I pulled in. It sure is nice to see the team working togther for the common good. Thanks guys
Since I have slacked on my pics lately I thought I might post some Goodies tonight. We got the hood and rear fenders back from the painter and they look great. We should have everything installed and ready to load up wednesday morning.
The power steering Resirvoir / Alternator bracket is awesome. I'm not a big fan of the red cap but that will be fixed next week. The brake master cylinders are awesome also.

Well guys we drove the truck last night at about midnight for the first time. Everything went well. It steers great and rides well, but we just aired it up, no tuning or anything. The truck has about a 1/4 mile on it. I'm happy with most aspects there are some issues we will wrap up after the show. But for the most part it is pretty nice. Our power steering resirvoir did not leak either not on drop.

Hey Roger,
I stopped in your shop coming from L.A. to Fresno and you showed me around. That truck is sick and it's great to see it moving. Thanks for taking your time out of your day to make me a little more motivated to get my Camaro operating. I was the tall guy who's wife was sleeping in our car in the parking lot while we b.s.'d for a while.
Thanks again,
Gabriel

I got a Classic Trucks Magazine Top 5 today. I landed about 4 different magazine features for the truck. It has been a really good weekend for us. I will post some pics when I get a chance to actually take some and when I'm home I can resize them. It has been great meeting all the new faces. I have meet many more LAT-G Bros.
Keep you fingers crossed the truck of the year finalist is down to 2 other trucks that are really nice.

Man what a fun weekend, We did not make the finalist award for truck of the year but there are still like 5 oher shows for that to happen at. The 68 ford truck that won was super clean and I was told they spent 8 months doing body work. It is STRAIGHT..... The cameo was designed Hollywood Jason Rushforth ( You have to whisper the Rushforth) the body mods on this truck were awesome. If I was a judge I would have no idea which truck to pick. The owners of both trucks were super nice guys, I look forward to hanging out with them a other shows later this year. Here are some outside pics of my truck and the 2 other competitors from this weekend in Del Mar.
Nice meeting everyone this weekend, Larknut, twinsting, and many others.

disrespect (never thought I would use that word in a sentence) the other 2 trucks, but yours is head and shoulders above them.
If it had a set of tricked out Forgelines or HRE's for a little european flair, I might have to sell my oldest son to come up with the cash.
Man do I love this truck, what a great build!

WOW rodger! I have been waiting a long time to see it completed and I am extremly impressed. I don't understan why your truck didn't win but sometimes things don't work out the way they should have. I look forward to seeing it in person all complete one of these days. Great job:thumbsup:

Great Job man the stance is Killer well done:hail: :hail: :hail:
You're a humble man Rodger !
I agree the other two look great, but if I may point out the obvious:
Yours has an exposed tube chassis, loads of body mods (obvious tilt hood) and tons of attention to detail and its tastefully done.
Other than being super clean, what was so special of the other two ?
Job well done for getting it out !

Both Trucks were awesome and the owners were really nice guys. The guy who owned the Ford had had it for 30 years and it was really straight and clean. The cameo was super clean also and the exterior body mods were pretty cool.
FYI I have update dmy site with a lot of fresh pics of the truck. I have few things I want to improve before pleasanton next month. And I'm think I will bring it to Columbus in July.

I still think your truck is better than the other 2.
Not taking anything away from the other guy's trucks at all. Just my opinion.
The cameo was designed Hollywood Jason Rushforth ( You have to whisper the Rushforth)
SAY MY NAME!!
Saw the truck up close and got the full tour and it is all that but I don't know why everyone is consoling Rodger like his dog died. He is the furthest thing from a sore loser and now has two new friends with super nice trucks he didn't know before along with some great press for the truck and the shop and I'll bet $1000 he gets a Top 5 later this year because the truck is super sick and has tons of style and details!
I guarantee it was a tough choice for the judges but to say any of them were better than the others from thumbnail photos is like judging a beauty contest with binoculars from the next town.
Ever bodywork a 40 year old farm truck? How about fiberglass Cameo bedsides? Ever wonder why those trucks were usually white? Ever see the gap between the cab and bed on a Cameo? Rodger's fist would fit in one and if you've seen Rodger, you know that is not a tight fit. The new gap on that Cameo was tighter than most door gaps. Ever made one off sidetrim? Both of the other trucks had it and it was like jewelry on the Ford. Just saying it's all in the details and all three trucks had tons of them.
Rodger knows his truck is awesome and so does everyone there. Way to go, Rodger, the truck looks great! I see a Top 5 in your very near future!

Problem is you have to bring mirrors and a couple jack stands to show your chassis. Truck looks sharp and I would rather gain the respect of other builders than win a trophy. You went with a very classic design that with no in your face exterior mods that unfortunately get overlooked sometimes.
The wheels on the silver truck are incredible. Evod??

Thanks guys, Like I said the 2 other trucks were awesome piece. Each truck had its own stand out feature. The silver truck was the paint and body, the red and black one was the body mods and mine was the engineering and details. With the comments that have been made from everyone viewing the Truck I know we accomplished our goal. I wanted and sharp looking truck that was not over the top from the outside that was total business underneath. We are working to get a few things dialed in on the tuning of the truck to improve the handling even further and dial the engine in from the dyno tune that the FAST unit has currently. I was very impressed with the power and handling of the truck in just the small cruise I got to do friday.
It is looking more promising that I may take the truck to Columbus, I just need to figure out what else I might take since I have a 2 car trailer.

It was great to meet you also Rodger. The truck is bad ass. Alot of attention to detail. Can't wait to see what you build next.
John... your exactly right.
That was my point... Alot of people missed the point of this truck.
One of my favorites (we get this alot):
Can you drive it that low ?
or....
Does this have hydraulics ?
Again.... great job.. it turned out pretty bitchen!
