I'm leaving right now to display John and Brians nova at the Pleasanton show this weekend. We will be in the Chassisworks right next to the NAPA booth.

Hope to see you guys. This is the first time Johns nova has ever been out side.

Rodger... you're one of the best.
Both those build are way cool dont get me wrong.
I was just wondering why Alston would want them in their booth.
Is anything on either car made by them ?

Admittedly the ZO6 Nova only has some small parts of ours, but the 63 Nova has our billet canted 4-link in the rear, as well as our street machine front crossmember and front suspension/steering system.
And I know old habits die hard, but Alston is a different, un-related company, we are Chassisworks!

Both are awesome cars. Pictures don't do John's car justice - you really do need to see them in person to appreciate the work that went into it. I was fortunate to have been able to see the gauge pod come together while I was down there. Excellent work - Rodger has a great crew working in the shop and their craftsmanship shows. Check them out it you can make either show.

Thanks for clarifing Tim.
Johns nova is really a piece of art and should be shown in a museum and I didnt realize the 63 had all those components.
BTW... I recieved my front clip and its killer as expected.

Glad to hear it!
Other vendors on the board can relate to this, but we rarely hear when parts are good, arrive on time, and fit well...we only hear when there is a problem, so....thanks!

Brians has almost every part for a nova except the clips. We built all the same geometry into the car but at a super low ride height.

Johns car has Double adjustable Varishocks front and rear with there hood hinge fender supports and a bunch of small parts like bushings and adjusters.

I buy alot of small parts for alomost all my projects fron Chassisworks due to the selction of helpful parts they have.

I heard you might make the show Tim...

Saw them today. The Z06 Nova is amazing, and you barely even get to see the frame underneath.

Saw both these cars today. Tried holding a conversation with John, but I couldn't take my eyes off the engine bay. Sorry John. It's just incredible. Holy hell it's insanely detailed. I think you're nuts John. Welcome to the club.

Thanks guys, I brought my Camara and forgot the battery, so these are the only outdoor photos I have seen. We had a great time this weekend and I got to meet alot of new faces and hear some very interesting comments about the cars. We will be going back next month for the Pleasanton show again.

Soooooo Mr. Ricochet......... When will a certain 55 be showing up at Ironworks?

I was unable to make the Pleasanton Show, but I see these two Novas a couple times a month. Brian and John are two great guys with two great cars.

Rodger and his crew should be VERY proud of these two projects!!!!

Rodger and I talked about that this weekend. If all goes well I'm hoping to get it down that way in May. Compared to those Nova's though it will have to be shoved in the corner and treated like a bastard child!!

I, on the other hand, actually remembered to bring my little point and shoot although it pales in comparison to the pics that Rodgers camera can take.

SO I rolled the Nova tag team out of the trailer this morning and let them sit outside and we had 15 people stop and ask questions all day. It is kinda funny they all said we had no idea you guys were here, but those novas outside are pretty awesome. SO since I was a dumb ass and forgot my battery here are some decent side shots of the ZO6 nova and Brians 63 DEUCE....

Boy we should have left the pinch weld on brians so we could hang neon lights off of it like on Johns car.

FYI we do plan to shave the pinch weld off johns but we are waiting for the rotisserre. I just looked at the pics again and the pinch weld looks awful.

What are the details on the 56 chevy in the background? I looked on your site and did not see it in the projects section.

Ok so I'm a little biased over the cool Z06 Nova. I was able to look away and notice the tri-five. :_paranoid

Dam Roger your to quick. I was looking at the pics and was going to ask what is up with the neon hanger? Then I read the next post and you beat me to the punch !!! Bad a$$ work my friend. You nailed the stance and look. It's like a pair of wolfs in sheep's clothing waiting to nail the next victim. I'm glad we crossed paths and I'm able to do business with you.

I'm down, I'll be there for sure. I have a friend who works for the SCCA. I'm trying to get hooked up with some eddymuhcayshun on the whole gettin' traction thing. I can't let Rushforth beat me again, even though it was only by .003 seconds.

Maybe I should gain some weight so I can get better traction in the corners. Ya know, like you.

Rodger can handle a go cart that boy was smoking everone on the track including smack talking Clint Petree "like the dish" from Chassisworks,

Only thing he was smoking was the clutch because the GVW was exceeded on his kart ...

Or maybe it had something to do with the "What do you mean you don't have Monster Taco's anymore " ....... :wow: We wont mention your performance that night Brian, but then again I think you were flying a "rookie" flag that night, so it's cool.

Actually an aliance was formed that night and thus created Team CenCal who are now the dominate force in the "after hours kart racing series".

Back on topic Rodger did bring out some killer rides to showcase in the Chris Alston's Chassisworks booth. I'm glad that everyone was as pleased as we were with the craftsmanship and remember to take a free catalog next time you swing by.

Later all.
