Okay, this is my car, a 1965 Olds F-85. I have GM disc brakes up front, 12 bolt Posi with 3.90 gears in the back. A 93 Chevy 350 drives the beast(Used to be a 355 010 block, but sold the motor), I have a Edelbrock Street master intake with a Edelbrock 600 Performer 1406 Carb on top of 14102193 GM TBI heads, with self-align 1.52 Aluminum RR. Accel Headre plugs, wires, Distributer and coil. Waiting to install a XE 268H Comp cam. Breathes through 1 5/8 headers and through 3 inch collectors and 3 inch exhaust to two flowmaster mufflers and chrome turn downs before the rear end. Rear shocks are Comp. Engineering 3-way Adjustable shocks, Lakewood adjustable traction bars, and a 14gallon fuel cell in the trunk with a rearsump that goes through th trunk pan. front has KYB shocks. The motor has been moved up 6 inches in the engine bay and the motor mounts are welded to the frame, backing the motor is a TH350 short tail with a B&M Rachet shifter(No detent cable). In the photos I have 14" Centerlines at all 4's but now I ha 15x10 on the rear.

I know this is a GM A-Bodie, but I can't find parts for it, and if I do they want my first born and money. I was wondering about making it into a PRO Touring car, I did the traditional HOT ROD thing last year with last years motor(010 Block 355, Magnum 292 cam Edelbrock Dual plane intake, Holley 670 DP, ETC...) Now I want to drive it on the highway and to other towns.

So far I swapped motors to have a more mild driveable motor, I want to find a 5 spd out of a S-10, Camaro or 1500(Being that the car was an original 4 spd, still have the clutch peddale inside) so I can keep my 3.90 gears out back. I also have a cool set of 18 inch RIAX wheels with 235/40R 18 tires. I have found a 89-90 Chevy caprice(BOX CHEVY) with a rear sway bar that looks like it will work. (Same rear supension looks like.)I also have a buddy that is bringing me the rear brake rotors, calipers, mounting brackets and hardware from a 88 Camaro to put on my 12 bolt rear end.

This is my "Hot Rod" that I am putting togather on a "RAT ROD" budget.

I just don't know the interchangablity of the GM parts from cars to cars, like I NEED new door and window seals BAD! A lot of guys(Around here) Tell me that the same seals from a 66 Chevelle Malibu will work. This is the kind of stuff I don't want to lose my time with. I'm 26 and wish I would have been around in 65". Thanks for any help in advance.

This is all original, thats why it's so old N beat up lookin, if sheet metal could talk:lol:  Look close to the engine photos and u can see the control arm bushings are gone:wow:

65-67 A body chassis parts should interchange. I think that sway bar off a Caprice may be too wide but check and see.

I'm working on a '65 Vista Cruiser so I can feel your pain regarding the parts interchangeability. What I've ended up with is a Chevelle in Olds clothing. The rear trailing arms & sway bar off a '65 Chevelle work great. Good luck with your build.

I also have this 1964 Oldsmobile F-85 , and now is my project ,I agree with wingman lots of interchangeability; but parts like weatherstrip , windows and so are on the 64-65 chevelle, just waiting to sell my '67 camaro and start with this one  crossed fingers!!

Parts from the 64-65 Chevelle will DEFINITELY work if you have a post than look for the Chevelle POST weatherstrip if you have a coupe than look for the coupe weatherstrip.

I have built 5 different A-bodies 2 Chevelles and the others were Pontiac's, Buick's, Oldsmobile but the SAME parts like suspension, weatherstrip, glass are a direct bolt in! After the cost of the Chevelles started to sky rocket I looked for other alternatives and after the research I did I found out that these parts are definitely interchangeable!!

Good luck!
