I think the Chicane LM kit from ATS is one of the best coilover conversion kits you can get.

But can you get it? All there stuff is up in the air and if you can order something, delivery will be way down the road. (as far as I know)

DSE makes a coilover kit

The website shows the AFX spindles on backorder but everything else in stock, including the Chicane LM kit. Send Tyler an email and ask him.

Trouble with the DSE coilover conversion is you have to drop the control arm to adjust the coilover. The engine also needs to be out to install the coilover mounts. I think the Chicane is a better setup, assuming it is available.

If you are set on ATS (http://www.t56kit.com/) then I would buy these (http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=18754) and source the control arms and coilovers of your choice directly. You will need to get on the waiting list for the Tall AFX spindles....or do the G-Mod yourself and use stock height spindles. Tyler is really hard to get ahold of right now.

Or, call DSE (http://www.detroitspeed.com/) and do the one stop shopping deal. The nice thing about their c/o conversion is that it corrects the geometry with new upper control arm mounts...this allows you to use a stock height spindle weather it be a GM spindle or an ATS AFX (stock height).

Another great option is Speed Tech (http://www.speedtech-performance.com/) they have great parts and pricing.

Do your homework, you have options!

Do any of these options give you more than an inch and half drop adjustment (over stock)?

I just had a good read thru the 'speed tech' site. Thats what im after for sure. One thing what is the difference between kit 1 and kit 2 besides $500.?
They look the same and have no reference to any differences.

Hoping to get upper and lower tubulars and Qa1 coilovers , dont mind paying good money for good quality. I do want bolt in with no mods on a stock subframe. I want to sit nice and low all round.
Am i asking too much???

If you are looking for a bolt in solution that will allow you to lower the car I suggest you talk to Mark at SC&C about the SPC lower control arms (and uppers). He will also set you up with Varishock coilovers which seem to have less reported problems than the QA1, at least that has been my observation.

Just be aware that with DSE you need to separate the ball joints and take the shock out if you want to adjust ride height. As much as I like their products, it was unacceptable to me to find that out after I had it installed. Live and learn I guess.

Ive had a good look at most kits available now and i think im close on a decision . One thing im curious about is, do any of the coilover kits bring height down more than others???. I see drop spindles get a bad wrap so ill go with tubular A- arms and coilovers . I want the edge of front guard in line or close to rim edge. Like rybar's or vegas69 stance.
What arms get the front down safely?

The SPC lower control arms from SC&C allow the front end to go lower than most of the available arms. Give Mark a call....
