I got this engine from a friend of mine and wont have the time to get to it for my 70 Nova.
Its out of a 2002 chevy truck it had 72K on it when it was pulled out. I know because i was their when he pulled it out.\. I did hear the engine run...
The bad is it has a real light bottom end noise/knock. When i got it home i took the oil pan off and checked all the rod and main bearings to see if one had spun. none of them did and all the bearings look good.
It will need a rebuild but from what i can tell it looks to be a piston pin noise. I looked at all the cylinders when the pan was off and they looked good. After seeing this iam sure that its worth a rebuild i just dont have the time or the money with other projects.
I am selling the complet engine intake to oil pan. p/s pump and bracket/belt ten, and a BRAND NEW GM water pump for a truck.
I did have the oil pan off and did not tighten any of the stuff back down so if you would like to come over and have a look that will not be a problem.
I will not ship this due to the cost. so local pick-up only. I will not part out right now but might later?.
$200 OBO I think thats a good price for everthing..
