Well yesterday was a good day at the drag races. Last August I ended up melting down a few valves and spark plugs on a 1/4 mile pass. Although at that point I did go my new best then with a 9.37 @144.5 , This was the first time spraying a 300 shot on my 6.0 truck block
Now jump ahead about 7 months with new high heat vales and the heads freshed up , Also added NANO NITROUS to the car with the same 300 shot.
I managed to get a decent pass in with a 1.31 60 ft , wheels way up run.
On this run the car didnt excactly go straight and I should have left off the gas but I didnt, still with the longest way down a straight line I went a 9.17 @ 147 , another good thing is I want to try to compete in some local races in 1/8 mile and I need to run in the 5.50-5.90 area , finally I went 5.80's in the 1/8 also .
My set up is fairly simple....370 shortblock, LS6 heads, FAST 92mm and a whole bunch of Nitrous, powerglide trans.
These LS engine are the way to go !
I know its not PT just thought I would share the info. I will try to get video and pics up sometime. THANKS for listening.
8-9 years ago I went 9.27 in my Mustang and said I would never catch the drag racing bug again ......LOL , that worked out well !!!!!!!!!
Here is a old video running highs 9's last year

Thats awesome man. I have had "drag race fever" BAD lately also. All these builds have made me park my street racer for a couple years. It has been socked away, I have not seen it since RTTHs 2006. Time to do a few things. That 9.17 is a 1/10th better and 2MPH faster then I have been so I guess I need to step it up a bit.

Sheehs The last time I drove a car down the quarter mile, if you pushed the wrong station on the radio you would hear a new Disco song. Wow I'm getting old!
Excelent times Jason.

The weather is looking better here and the track just opened a few weeks ago , so yeah drag racing is on my mind bigtime.
We got a low 9 second mustang, turbo LS engine to build also .
Knowing you, I am sure your gonna step it up !!!!
Get that suspension done and lets see how it does.
Watch out though , I am planning on getting to a total of a 550shot.
I have to delay the second stage when I do that . Right now I leave on 300 and it hooks awesome, the chassis has way more in it.
I need a 1.27 60 ft and I might get that 8.99 time I am looking for.

Jason that is pretty stout 60ft. We ran a 1.26 to wind up with a 7.45 a few weeks ago in Fontana. The drag racing stuff if very addictive. I just don't like the fact that the faster you go the less seat time you get. But hunting tenths and hundredths will definitely keep you up at night.
Lets see some pics of the engine compartment.
Have you tried the Speedtech time set up for nitrous systems? It makes the timer and wiring very easy and reliable.
Good luck
