whats up fellas, im new around and just announce myself. Im going to be giving my '71 El Camino the pro-touring treatment. A big block engine with a 6 speen manual transmission and a trick rear end. Big brakes to fit a massive rolling stock combo. Im thinking about an air ride suspension but im not for sure yet. Other then that i want to add a few exterior mods and bring the interior up to date. Anyway thats my project.

Welcome ElcoMan. This site is a bad habit. Oh, and I'm twenty minutes north of you on 101. Hope to see that thing one of these days.

Glad to have you aboard. If you want some good P-T El Camino ideas, check out KAA's 70 Camino or my 69. Both of our Elkys have modified suspensions, Viper 6spds,and big tire & wheel combos. Keith's 70 has a 496" BBC and I'm running a 355" SBC. His car has big Wilwood brakes and mine has big Baers. My 69 is a full-backhalved Prostreet car that I've converted to Protouring. The latest change was installing a four way independent Air Ride Tech set-up with Shockwave coilovers.
Keith or I would be glad to help so ask away if you have any questions.
