I want to purchase the Marquez door panels because of all the horror stories Im hearing about the aftermarket deluxe panels. My question is ,how are the Marquez door panels for fit and installation??? Also does anyone have any shots of the panels installed ?

We have used them a few times. They work well. you need to use some really stetchy material to cover them, and your on your own mounting them, but you can figure it out.

The detail items like the speaker grills are real nice. For what they cost, they are a bargain.

If you decide you need them let me know.

Mario,

I like the Marquez door panel too, but I am waiting to see what Mike at MCC is coming up with. I sent him a PM and it sounds like he has some door panels in the works and also a rear deck speaker tray that will work around his roll bar kit. His rear seat set up is nice too.

Once I see the 2 side by side, I plan on going with one or the other. Or maybe a mix and match with rear seat from MCC and doors from Marquez.

Just talked with Mike. Im going to wait to see what his looks like. Im a not even close to this point yet but I want the stuff in my hands WAY before I need it. I have 85% of all my parts ready for this build. Just do'nt want to get to that point and have to wait months to get something

We are building some panels right now that Anvil is gonig to make, they will be sick and fit the car perfect. I will have some pictures very soon of what they will look like we are working on the details right now. So if anyone is not in a huge hurry these might be worth the wait for you.

Chris that sounds great please keep me posted! I do have one question. As I said I love the look of the deluxe panel but Im not going to deal with crap aftermarket parts. The only reason I did'nt jump on the Marquez panels is I just do'nt like the door open handle location. The panels are cool, look great but It just do'nt work for me but if this is the way it has to be I'll have to deal with it. My question Chris is are you going to have a different location ??

Are those Marquez or MCC and will they fit a 69 camaro?

Marquez panels are a great option. BMW style door handles work quite well. I can likely email some pics of them installed. We work & deal direct with Marquez & wrap MANY of their panels for them. We can supply them to you wrapped if you need. Check us out @ www.gearheadcars.com and you can email me off my site- J

A little late to the ball but you may also want to check out, Al Knoch Interiors, out of Texas.

www.alknochinteriors.com

He's better known for Corvette interiors but has started breaking out into the 1st gen. Camaro market.

Met him at a car show in Carlisle, PA. this spring. Very nice guy, easy to talk to. Had a set of 69 Pace Car Door Panels, complete with lower carpet but no outside window fuzzies, excellent quality. $350.00 a pair. After chatting for a few minutes. He offers me a Mexican Pepsi... has Rum already added. At 9:00 am, I said thanks but no thanks. Point being, he's very freindly.
As we're talking. He offers to install the outer window fuzzies with factory style staples, not riveted as most would see. Needs to take them back to Texas, and use a high powered press in order to properly install the staples. He also said there would be NO extra charge and NO added shipping cost, still $350 to my door. That's Texas to Maryland, not around the corner shipping. True to his word, they arrived about 3 weeks later. Window fuzzies stapled, no problems. Could'nt be happier.
Just another option to consider.

I am going to need EVERYTHING for my doors. Panels, trim, felts....
Does anyone make this stuff for second gens? I really do not want to be stuck with the mail order re pop crap. You would think with all of the complaints the manufacturers would get it all to fit and look right by now.
Thanks for any info.
Eric
