What is your budget? I know of a very nice one, built by a name in the industry, and it can be blue................

Depending on the car, up to 75k. He wants a car with a LS9. But if its a nice car the motor can always be yanked.

LS9???????????? That's not gonna happen, at least not yet and at that price. I know of one being built, and he just got the motor a few weeks ago, they're very tough to get. Did you maybe mean LS7? The car I'm thinking of is an LS7 6 speed but a bit more than your budget.

Well he wants the new motor. That budget is for the car:unibrow: If it has a motor in it, it will be sold and upgraded. OR maybe he will want the LS7. Ill ask him. Do you have pics of the car?

The LS9 is brand new, about $26K or so by itself. I think they may be out there, but a month or two ago they didn't exist separately, just in the new ZR1. That's why I figured it'd be tough to find one done with that engine, they haven't been available long enough to have a car built with one.

Charley has the LS9 69 Camaro being built by Mark Stielow and Reiters, and he also has Camaro X, Mark's last LS7 69 Camaro. It is currently white, but he is getting ready to have it re-painted as the white color doesn't seem to appeal to many people.

I will say it's the nicest riding/handling first gen I've ever driven, and I've been in many well-known first gens. Mark outdid himself with the custom valving for the shocks, and the suspension combo in general. Great car. Pics http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=18093&highlight=camaro

A 69 with a LS9 for 75K that is worth a crap just isn't going to happen. If anyone is building a LS9 in a 69 it is probably going to be a brand new car and will have alot of new parts in it that will total more than 75K. If I wasn't finishing up my LS9 car and wanted one I would redo CamaroX and put one in. It would have been alot cheaper than building from scratch and we started on the LS9 car in 2007.

I can't fathom finding an LS9 car for $75k.. lol

Hell the engine is one third of the amount he wants to pay for an entire car. Also, as stated, any car with an LS9 will be brand new.

I think he needs to set more realistic goals.

I'd advise your buddy to buy a nice car. (Many quality cars are for sale) and put in the LS9. That is going to be the least expensive route. When you sit down to plan your build and your first order of business in an LS9, well that snow ball is going to be quite large. Well in to the six figure range with many a Saturday night pissing and moaning about why that brand new part doesn't just bolt on.
