We are going with a 427, World LS7x heads, still working on rotating assembly, and a D1SC to top it all off... :unibrow:

All Pro has some bitchin heads for that and Procharger has a bitchin new cog belt system for that and you better run the F-1. Call me monday and I can set you up with the bracket system, it is pretty slick.

Is it going in the camaro?

World heads have a different bolt pattern. And they barely flow 300 cfm, compared to the real LS7's 370cfm. I've got one of them blocks too, been waiting for GM to realease the heads for 2 years now.

If I were to purchase aftermarket it would be All Pros. Although my LS7 heads achieve 360 int. 248 exh. (ported, 2.200 tit, 1.600 valves, 650 dual spring, chamber 70, 4.125 bore)

Roughly, how much horsepower would you be looking at "without" the supercharger? Just curious?
That is a nice block!!:hail:

I'll give you a call tomorrow. Yeah she's going in a 69.

With a lower compression of around 9:1 were thinking she put down mid 400's to the wheels on a mustang dyno, this is through a 4l80e. I bet with a manual and more compression you could easily get into the 500's to the wheels.

Don't the stock LS7's have 1 less bolt per cylinder than the worlds? At what lift is the 300 vs 370 measured at? We'll put the heads on a flow bench and find out exactly when we get them. According to world's numbers they have some pretty crazy flow numbers...

With all the weight of the LSX block you should aleast put a bunch of power down. That block is HEAVY, but it is super strong.

She weighs 250lbs almost as much as me...so come on it's only like 80lbs more than a lq4...geez all that extra tubing and crap on John's nova weighs more than that.

Look at this new head from GM. The LSX-LS7. http://www.maxchevy.com/tech/2008/ii...sprimer-7.html When I was looking for a cylinder head for my LS3 with the Harrop supercharger. The intake port volume size was more important than flow.
Jeff

Jeff thanks for the link. The engine builder has built c5r, l92, ls7, PRC, and AFR headed ls motors. For what we are trying to do with this setup the ls7x gave us more reliablity, smaller chamber, and meat to work with. The number one reason is the extra bolts for more clamping force 2 more per cylinder and with a little smoothing they will flow like anything else.

All I know is I picked the short block for my truck up out of the crate by my self and my LS block took 2 dudes, that freakin thing is HEAVY, I have one. If your going to add the weigh you might as well build the power. 500hp weighs the exact same as 700hp, maybe even lighter since the pulley is smaller.

Johns car only weighs 2800 something in bare metal with no glass and interior and has 52% in the rear so all the plumbing must be lighter then the transaxle. Jaohn and I talked about putting my LSX block in his car in trade for his LS7 and then I worked to talk him out of it due to weigh.

Talk to ya in the AM.
