2nd gen dash cap instead of full replacement? Worth it?

Hey I'm wondering if anyone has tried to install a dash cap on a 2nd gen? My dash is turned up in the front like most are, but the rest isn't too bad. I don't want to shell out the money for a full replacement when these caps are a third of the price. I'm not looking for a how-to.. just some advice on which route I should go

PALCO makes the best ones FWIW... I've seen several installed in 70-81 Firebirds/Trans Ams and they look good IMO. HTH

Thanks for the reply.. That's good to hear there is an alternative to the price of a full repro. i'll check it out
