It's sad that you guys get you copy before I do..

But congrats to Payton.. I was dying to tell him he made the cover but I wanted it to be a surprise.

It was especially had since his shoot were some of the best feature photos I've ever taken, everything just came out perfect.

He was to get the center poster but Forgeline bought a poster for the Optima event. Even so we kept him at an eight page feature, you just need some tape to make a poster. lol

Congrats Payton on the feature but more so on having such a fine ride.

And here's the teaser shot...

Absolutely awesome!!! Congrats Payton!!! I had the honor of riding with Payton at the Run Through the Hills. That car is beautiful both inside and out. And it really drives great. It felt stuck to the ground even from the passenger seat. Just an awesome car altogether.

I am in total shock that it made the cover. As I was leaving work yesterday and Jake sent me an email. I could not believe it. Steve never even hinted that I was going to make it. In hind sight the only clue he gave me was..."I took the best picture, the color and the lighting were perfect."

I know when we were doing the shoot at RTTH4 it was one hot beach that day on the asphalt. I had also changed a few things just before I left for the event and they caused me problems while I was there. Not going to happen this year

I still have not seen the issue, so I have been checking the local places that carry it.

I could not have built the car without the help and inspiration that I recieved from this site. I know this sounds silly, but this was kind of a "bucket list" item for me. I have been reading car mags since I was 14 and always wanted a car good enough to make it into one. This is/was my only shot as I will never build a car to this level again...I don't think.

Thanks Steve for making a dream come true.

Congrats Payton. Steve did a good job. I was shooting Huber's Demon at the same time. You're right it was Freakin hot that day. I don't know what was worse the heat or the 2hr ride in Traffic to get back. Man that town was crazy busy.

Thanks, you take smokin hot feature shots all the time. I'm a tech editior, so I'm still learning.

I still can't believe we haven't gotten our copy yet... how lame is that?

Also, you've gotta love a story titled "Swingin Cats" ;)

Kudo's on the Cover

Wow - that car is incredible and so is the picture

ps: This is/was my only shot as I will never build a car to this level again...I don't think.

Sorry you have the bug - you don't know how to do anything less then what you've done.

was crazy. What was it...5000 street rods and muscle cars there that weekend and I think all of them were cruising the strip at the same time.

I told myself this was the last car I was building unless my boys get into it when they get older. I envision a primered track car but if I were to build it you would probably be right, it would be all shiney too.

I answer the Dead Cat question every time I stop for gas

Man, the cover of Camaro Performers, and a nice article...my cars suck so bad I can't even get into Readers Rides of CP...at least this issue had 15 more pix of that one-cent 68, I better renew my subscription...

Congrats Payton.

Also Nice Shot Steve! Just the right amount of angle on the nose of the car, and shows off the beefy wide rear tires as well... Have been spending a lot of time shooting Camaros out here lately, I'm starting to learn the fine points of the Camaro body shape! My photo shoot helper complains about doing "too many Camaros.."

Of all things working on a 68 Convertible Camaro.

Anyway, thanks guys. Putting some fine tunning on it even as we speak. Looking forward to the upcoming season. Plan on getting a lot of seat time.
