Has anyone heard of putting LSI heads on a 351 cleveland. I was talking to "an engine builder" the other day and he assured me this could be done. He seemed a little too impressed with his own work though. He actually has the heads mounted on the 351 block, but has not cranked the motor. I am not saying that this is desired my me, but simply interesting.

if the bolt pattern is close enough i suppose it could work.... a lot of stuff wouldnt line up perfectly and intake would be a one off... but it could be interesting.. and a cheap way to upgrade heads on a ford.... im sure it would require some external waterwork to mahe the cooling function..

take some pics please

NOT AN AVTERSIMENT:

I "overlaid" a head gasket AND a torque plate, the bolt centers look close.

The Pantera EFI intake for the LS-1/2 fits each head with no
center plate.

We made center plates to fit the 351-C with ITB's in the past.

So, more research.

so L92 heads should fit on a 302 winsor?? (one would need to dink with the cooling system as its wet intake compared to the dry Cleveland... but in theory, it should really rip in one of the newer 5.0L classes...)

L92 heads flow in the 350 cfm range... try that with a ford head....

My next step is the camshaft.
Would the lobes have the correct placement ?

The block "offset" is opposite.

Would a billet cam be the only option?

I have made 451-C engines using a 400M "station wagon"
block.

those are like 98 heads from a ls1 from v/c bolt holes :D. I will double check with a friend but I have heardc of the ls1 heads fitting the Ford engine see if he can give me insight since he has been in a few mags for his engine building.

are you not looking at the pics bro??

and the cam should work just as long as there is no pushrod interfeerence... the headache is cooling and intake manifold
