I will be arriving on Monday Feb. 2nd in the morning. I have 2 client meetings. Staying at the Hyatt at DFW. The first client meeting is in Bridgeport. The afternoon meeting is in Dallas, off of 114, about 5 minutes from the airport. I am flying out Tuesday morning.

I would love good Tex-Mex or Steak for dinner on Monday.

So, open for suggestions or anything else I might need to know.

As of now, I should be free of clients.

If anyone would like to hook up for dinner or drinks, let me know!

Thanks,

Darren

What are you looking for?

If you want some BBQ you can go to the original Sonny Bryans... Only go if you can go by th original one

A very amazing steak house in north dallas called Three Forks, pricey but good and an amazing operation.

James,

Thanks for the tips. I love trying the local restaurants when I travel. I love mexican, tex-mex, BBQ and steaks. So I was hoping to try some tex mex for lunch, and a nice steak for dinner. Anything non chain (unless it is a chain in Texas!) It does not have to be fine dining by any stretch. So I am open!

Thanks!

Darren

I will give you a buzz Rick!

"chuy's" is a good mexican restruant, a good bbq/smokehouse would be "bone daddys"- similar waitresses to hooters  . for decent steakhouses they have "trail dust" and "love and war in texas". and of course id check out "the clubhouse" if you want to let loose:unibrow: but chuys and bonedaddys are places that i prefer to go to if we're going down there...

About twice a year my wife and I go to a nice resturant. This is our new favorite. Its a Brazilian steak house only a few miles from DFW.

We like it the best because to don't have to settle on one thing to eat. The gouchos come around with different meats as often as you want until you bust at the seams. Its very reasonable 49.95 plus drinks.

I use to eat at this place... great chicken fried steak. the atmosphere is like the Palm if you have ever been there, but not at fancy...

You may not be in the area ever but if you are...

If you are ever in the downtown area of Fort Worth there is a great burger place called Kincaids...

My folks live 5 mins from DFW in Southlake. In either Grapevine or Southlake you'll pretty much have your pick of places to eat.

Tolbert's in Grapevine (on Main St) is a pretty laid back place that has good food.

The best Mexican food in Grapevine is just off Main St. is a place called Esparzas. Great food and the margaritas/swirls are deadly (don't drink more then 2) :_paranoid

If you're willing to drive a bit back up 114 into Roanoke I would HIGHLY recommend a place called Babes Chicken:

During the week you shouldn't have any problem getting a table but the place is packed on the weekends. Homemade chicken fried steaks and HUGE helpings of sides. It's definitely a down-home type place and one of my favorites.

Too bad I live in Houston now or I'd be willing to meet up for a drink with you. You'd be welcome to stop by the barn where my Road Runner is and finish up the Wilwood rear brakes for me!

Papasitos? There's probably one in the area.

The best Tex-Mex around. There is one in Irving on Northwest Hwy by just north of Texas Stadium.
