I thought it was one of the more interesting competitions. Several complaints about the head wind so I don't understand why they didn't run it in both directions and average the time's/mph's. Hennessey hasn't changed. He has the fastest car and still whines about how it coulda/shoulda gone faster.

For anyone that doesn't get the mag., you can see the results here (www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=2&article_id=2572). As an added bonus for those who do subscribe, there are short videos on each of the 13 cars and 1 motorcycle. Kind of interesting if you don't mind the annoying Mazda ad.

That's awesome. The Champ car is quicker to the 3/4 mile mark than the F-18 Hornet. lol

Good read!

Lambo sure does seem to have clutch problems. I've been reading about that for years. Lambo obviously doesn't care to fix it though, lol.

The Jag sounded the best. I'll take the MV Tamburini.

I was watching Car and Driver over the weekend. They did a "super car" test, with a lambo. A few launches and they had to put it on a trailer due to the clutch being toast.

What a joke!

I guess you drive those just for the "look."

All-wheel-drive is nice but it's hard on clutches. Especially when you're putting 580 hp through them.

I'd hate to guess what it would cost to have a new Lambo clutch put in!

A guy local to me had a Diablo a few years back, and had the clutch go out. He had it put in at my buddy's shop.

$5k for parts, and $5k for labor.

The guy called and ask Lambo about it, basically they said not to drive it so hard, lol.
