It was -5 today here in Ohio! The only good thing is we got about 6 inches of snow. This summer I took the tractor and made a 500 ft sledding/tubing hill on the back side of the prop. Kids (and me) have been having a blast. Built a big fire pit. It is tons of fun. Really, it is! I swear it is fun in sub zero temperatures.....
I feel sorry for you SoCal boys with your nice even warm temperatures with no snow to plow and road grime dripping in the garage from the cars, cleaning ice of the windows....

Funny you should ask, Darren! :_paranoid
It was so stupid this morning that I had to take a pic! :faint:  And to think, I'm in tropical southern Minnesota.

I have live in Texas most all of my life, I could not handle having to deal with that kind of weather. There is another world that revolves around snow and the cold weather that I dont know a thing about.

If you want a taste of extreme cold you should of been up here in Winnipeg this last week...every morning we had windchill warnings in the -50 deg area...i walked for lunch about 5min outside without a hat on and got frostbite on my ear...I HATE WINTER!
We had a poor sucker from are office in Macon Georgia here this week and the poor guy never experienced anything like this in his life...when he got to the hotel he took his suitcase out of his trunk and his dressshirts were all completely frozen in the folded position lol

-33??? I'd like to experience that at least once. Living here in Baton Rouge, LA my entire life, the coldest I've experienced is 18 degrees. This week was the coldest I've seen it down here in a long while. For the last three days, We've been in the high 20's for the lows and mid to upper 40's for the highs.
I guess our brutal summers aren't that bad afterall compared to the winter weather you guys are experiencing up there right now.

It's a cool 75 today, but with that wind chill it felt like 73. The low last night while bbqing was a freezing 56 degrees. We had to have a fire in the house it was so cold. It was so cold, that this person down the street had to wear these really long shots.

Just came in from a great day outside in the snow with my boys. Been snowing all day, and got some on Sat too.
Its 20 here so really not that bad. Kids are worn out.
Winter can be allot of fun for the kids. Not as much for us adults. But life is about the kids anyway so if they love it then I can deal with the cold.

I BBQ'd last night and it was 18! takes a little while longer, and not as much fun when you have to put on a coat to go flip the chicken!

Are you from Winnipeg, or were you jsut visiting. I heard that last week we were the coldest place on the planet. Apparently some of the news channels had shots of Antarctica and the high arctic and we were colder than them. I just had to laugh to think about all my friends back home.
But I do wish San Fran would get some snow. I miss it something awful.

Deuce you lived in Newfoundland, the Rock. I'm orginally from Cape Breton and you would have to drive through there if going to the mainland from the Rock. I still find MN colder than back there.
