There's a bunch of our members in it and there's a 1 page story that's a warm up/lead in on Tony's car at Competition Specialties.

I didn't even flinch. You won't be ready to sell that car for a reeeeely long time.

Congrats Jack, your car is very deserving. You put some serious work into that ride and it shows.

Thanks, we really do agonize over each issue. The hardest part is putting it together to have someting for everyone. Some resto, pro-touring, street machine and even pro-street. Then we have the challenge of covering all the generations. It's tough to hit the right balance.

The magazine is light years better than it was even a year ago. We have a new art director and he's really bringing a nice look to the magazine. The issue after this one will be his first "full issue" of CP although he did a killer job on my stroker story in the Feb issue.

I got to see a copy of the magazine for about 3 minutes before I had to run out the door to go to MPMC in LA. After 30 years of building cars, getting a cover shot is still the coolest. Getting the centerspread is right behind it at #2! Thanks to Nick Licata, Steven Rupp and Robert McGaffin for making Velocity look like a million bucks. Some days I can't beleive I get to drive that thing!
THAT is why I go to work every morning.

as for PTcoverage i can tell thats got a lot to do with you, lol phr seems to have a LOT less PT-esque cars/info
and CP is FULL of it now.

Thanks for that Bret! I really enjoyed working with you on this. I have been fortunate enough to shoot 3 of their latest cars and I must say you have been so gracious to take the time and effort to get the shots we need. You have first class people who also go the extra mile to assist in getting the job done. Thanks for all your time and effort. BTW, Thanks for letting me beat on the 66 this last summer. I really enjoyed it. Love to thrash on it again sometime.

Nick and Steve are great to work with and thanks to you guys as well. I appreciate all the work you throw my way. Looking forward to more in '09.

Yesterday I was having a flip through at 7-11 and ended up staying there for about an hour. The guy at the counter kept shooting me suspicious looks...I dunno. Anyways the top 10 was great and the Velocity Camaro looks just dynamite. Scott, that's a great shot of your car in there too.

One question though, anyone know about the green convertible with the red stripes and redlines. I have never seen that car before and it rocked me. Is there any other pics or info for it out there?

Hopefully you bought the issue so that I can keep my job another month.. lol

We did a full feature on that car. There's build thread on here or pt.com but I'm sure it's WAY back in the stack.

If you would send some copies up to the frozen north up here I'd help you out... The guy at the local news stand is getting sick of me asking when the next issue of Camaro Performers (and Hot Rod) are going to be out... Heck, one place just put the January issue out on the shelves... it's killing me here.
