Looking at Autometer gauges and I'm wondering how they measure them.
Is it the readable area or does the 2 1/16 measurement include the gauge bezel?
Called to late tonight and they are closed.
Any benefit going to an electronic speedo over mechanical?
The hole you need to drill is 2 1/16". The bezel OD is bigger than that. I have an Auto Meter 2 1/16" gauge sitting here, but my calipers are out in the shop.
However, on the 5" gauges, the hole is smaller than that. I don't recall the exact number off the top of my head... it's something like 4 3/4".
Electrical gauges are a lot easier to install.

Good to know.
If you get a chance and you measure the OD of one of the 2 1/16 gauges.
I'm trying to lay out my new cluster before I buy the gauges to see what I can get away with.
Thanks man.
I will post my photoshop Idea once I get it laid out.
Its to bad the Pro Comp series only comes with 2 5/8 inch gauges and not the 2 1/16th.
I believe the OD od the bezel is 2 3/16".
When I was laying out the gauges in my dash, I made actual size paper cutouts of 2 1/16" and 5" gauges and used them to see how much space I had to work with. As low tech as it gets, but it worked great, and you get a good feel for how it will look/work before you drill any holes.

Besides never changing a speedo gear again? ;)
On my Speedhut Revolution I plug it into the T56 output, press a button, drive 2 miles and press the button again. If I change tire size I just do it again.

Since I'm having to mix gauges I am photo shopping my cluster and then I will use it as a template so those measurements will help greatly.
I think going with an electric speedo is going to be cost prohibitive for me right now. $250 vs. $90 for the mechanical.

Here is what I have planned.
Pro Comp Tack and Speedo. 3 3/8
Sport Comp water, oil, volt, fuel and boost/vacuum. 2 /1 16
Wanted to stay with the Pro Comp gauges but the 2 5/8 gauges are to big to fit all of them into the cluster.
The Innovate Wide Band will have a silver bezel so it will blend in better.

What do you think?
Looks good, Photoshop has so many uses.

Just to be sure Scott, those smaller ones are "2 1/16" gauges ?
