I'm looking into selling my daily driver for something a little more peppy. Someone I work with is selling a 02 Camaro z28 with 48,000 miles thats putting down a little under 400hp to the wheels and I know that the car has been extremly well taken care of. My question is how dependable is that much power in an ls1, I know that those are really good motors but I'm looking into the longevity of it since I have absolutly no experiance with these motors and this will be my new daily driver I was looking for some input from some of yall that have built them or dealt with them. I really appreciate the input.

there have been a handful of threads about this topic on ls1tech and the guys are running 150000 miles on stock bottom ends with 450 rwhp... AND spray!!
so at 48000 its barely broken in...

motor wise you will be fine.. You left out a few details though. If a auto, the 4l60 trans dont normally stand up to extra power for a long time.
if its a 6 speed, the rear is the weak link.. Dont run a real sticky tire and dump the clutch at high rpms and you should be fine..
Motor wise, I was running 455rwhp with no issues, and knocking down 25 mpg on the highway.

If the car is well taken care of like you say, that car should not be a problem at all!!!
Those LSx engines are "made" for doing mods to them. They are great engines. I only have 14,707 miles on my 99 HO Camaro SS.
A great website is www.ls1tech.com. LOADS of good info and good people.
GOOD LUCK!!
