Here is the latest Chevelle we have just completed for a customer out of Canada. It is a '70 Convertible pro-touring ride with a high-end European flair. This customer purchased our test car, the Orange '66, about a year ago and then decided to go forward with a '70 convertible about a month later. He wanted a car that would handle and perform every bit as good, but wanted a more elegant, refined look to the car, while keeping the traditional lines of the car. This car is highly detailed and a ton of unique, subtle modifications.

Wanted to keep some what of a stock feel on the dash, but give more of a modern look. We were not happy with the overwhelming width of the gauge area in a stock dash. The gauge area was shortened and the gauges were recessed back into the face. A new middle section was fabricated to house the A/C vents and stereo. We used the stock glove box door, but built a complete new dash face on the passenger side. The Recovery Room will be building a custom dash pad for the top.

We made a die form for a recessed sheet metal panel for the Vintage Air Streamline A/C controls. These will be available on our web site shortly if anyone is interested.

Thanks, I am usually a hard top fan myself. They always seem to look meaner and like they are sitting lower when they have a cool roof line.

Love it, but I am bias about red convertibles.

After seeing the renderings I think I've flipped back to red houndstooth inserts for mine (need a confused smilie)

Thanks guys, this one was a very detailed car. The interior sould be pretty killer as well. We've been talking with tracy at the Recovery room and have a lot of unique ideas for the inside. It is going to be somewhat of an OEM concept car looking interior.

Thanks, but red bumpers??? It would have looked too much like a 90's mono-chromatic pro-street car. I think it needed the contrast.

The '70 Chevelle is back from having the interior done by the Recovery Room. This has got to be one of the sickest interiors we have ever seen! Absolutely killer work by Tracy and his crew.

The engine compartment is painted with a graphite color with light metallics, then a semi-gloss clear.

I'm usually not too crazy about convertibles either. There is something about the roof line on the hard tops always seem to look meaner. This convertible has definitely changed my mind though!

Thanks to everyone for the great responses.

The car is going to be out west. We are trying to get the owner to bring it to the Good Guys Columbus show.
