Hello,
I am new to lateral G and am trying to figure out how to post an image. I am in the middle of building my '66 Nova in my garage with my son. If this post works, I'll post images tomorrow of the work done so far. For some background so far we have installed a full one piece metal headliner. There is a custom metal dash that flows in the doors . In the middle of the dash there is a waterfall that flows into the console and into the back window deck. There are shaved door locks, doorhandles, drip rail, and every body seam is welded. The front and rear bumpers have been shaved, and tucked into the fenders and quarters and welded on to car.The front bumper has been customized by inserting 2008 GT fog lights. The hood flips forward and the firewall has been smoothed out. We also customized the engine bay so the radiator is now inserted below the car.
The picture I posted is of my son's '87 Grand National. I have to give a shout out to Competition Specialties for the paint job on this car.

I think it's sick. The interior lines are fantastic. Will the center console have a waterfall at the back or just come to an end some place? Back seats in there at all? Have you thought about getting a rendering done? What are the plans for the grille area? I see you blocked off part of it. Amazing work.

Looks good from what I can see. Some of the pics are hard to make out. Please take some pics from farther out. I want to know what I'm looking at and how it's interacting with other pieces nearby. I know you put in the effort so show me!

I think I remember talking to you and your son about his car at the WOW.
I do believe it was for sale at the time and I was interested in buying it.
This was maybe 4-5 years ago. The car was really clean inside and underneath. It had the pitbull exhaust. At that time, it did not have the flames on the car.
Maybe it wasn't you and your son. If it wasn't I do apologize!

Thank you
Phil.

I have received some questions regarding the console and back seats and if they will all flow together. The answer is yes the dash will flow into the console with a waterfall look and thenn flow between the front and back seats and then into the back window deck. The console was made out of 1/2 round tube steel. The 2 back seats will flip forward so i can adjust the suspension and have access to battery. There will be 2 floors so that i can have all the brake lines, fuel lines and battery lines hidden.
The following pictures show the dash flowing into doors and finshing into back side window. Also pictures of the console flowing from dash through the interior into back window deck.
More pictures to follow

I was asked if the brake lines would be hidden in the front as well. In this picture you can see that the frame has been smoothed out and the brake line connector has been mounted between the frame and bottom of shock tower. You can see it stubbed out in this picture. It has tape around it.

Unfortunately we lost our close friend Phil (pchev66nova) last week. He was the owner of this '66 Nova. We will be finishing his car with the help of his son John in his memory.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Cheverie family, Phil will be sadly missed by all.
RIP my friend

Hello Everyone,
This is Phil's son, John. I want to thank Peter for updating everyone about my dad. My father worked on this car everyday by himself, he didn't have all the cutting edge tools, or even an English Wheel, my dad spent days in his garage bending metal with a hammer to make the Nova one of a kind. Unfortunatly, a year ago he was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer that effects the Bile Duct and the surrounding areas. Even through many months of Chemo treaments my dad was still was in his garage working on this car, nothing stopped him. I will be finishing this car in my Dad's memory. We spent many years talking about the car and planning every detail. I'm grateful for that time, because now I am able to finish it exactly how he would want it. Even though my dad is not here with the help of friends like Peter and the guys at competition specialties a piece of him will remain with us. Some of my best memories of my dad are working on cars with him. I"m going to be selling my '87 Grand National (pic on first page of post) in order to finish the nova. My dad helped me a great deal working on the Grand National, now its my time to return the favor and help him with the Nova. If anyone is interested in the Grand National please let me or Peter know.
-John
I am very sorry for your loss John. I think it is great that you have the memories of your dad and working on the car together. And that you are finishing it too.
Best of luck with the sale of the Grand National, if I hear of anyone looking I will send them your way.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Nova finished. Pete and the guys are a great crew, glad they are on board with you.

John,
Sorry to hear about your dad.
I just remember when I first saw your GN, Pete said that if I thought that was nice, wait until I see the Nova you and your dad were working on.
It will be nice to be able to finish it for him. Eventhough the GN is real nice, once the Nova is done, I'm sure the GN won't even compare... for many reasons that can't even be conveyed
Good luck with the sale of the GN and keep your head up.
