Hi,
I'm a new member with a 1973 Z28 project that is ongoing and I have to say that the build quality on this site is top notch. The feel of the site is all about the cars and making them better, and to me , that's the fun of it.
Here are some pics of my project............

Welcome to the site Paul, I love the car. I had a hard time deciding between a first and second gen for a project because I love them both. Keep us updated .

Picked up some of Heidts bolt in subframe connectors and installed them. They really do tuck in tight against the underside. Nice product and easy to install. Sure improves the 'maros feel on the road. Also installed Hedman's shorty headers. They fit well and perform great!! Couple of pics of the progress...............

I appreciate the compliment. Just got it back on the road after a 2year teardown. My camaro was originally white so I decided to stay with it when I was thinking about what color to paint it.

Thanks, I am really enjoying having it back on the road again. Although, driving it already has me thinking about future changes to the car. Today I finished the rocker arm swap and went for a test drive. Runs much better, especially at the high rpm range where the engine power feels like there's alot more there now!!

Been awhile since I've updated so here's the latest

After driving my camaro some this summer I realised that the performance wasn't where I wanted it so I ended up making some changes. Swapped out the cam for one with about 6 degrees less duration and .010 less lift. Went also with a performer air-gap intake and Holley 650 spreadbore carb. After a little tuning, it runs great !! Much more responsive and fun to drive. That did put my brake/wheel upgrades on hold till next spring though. The good thing about the delay is that now, I'm going to add some aftermarket control arms to the swap as long as I've already got it apart ...................

It really felt good to do some small projects on the car for a change and getting to drive it was great !!! Now if spring will just hurry up and get here.

Paul
Oh and the performer air gap will clear a stock hood on a second gen camaro using a 3" element and a drop base air cleaner. Not sure about the performer rpm air gap .
