Anyone complete a 3-link and wouldn't mind sharing pics. I realize there are many amazing suspension setups out ther, but for some of use $4500-$7000 is a little hard to swallow. This does not have to include billet, powder coating, or supper trick metel work.

Of all the garage built cars completed and many in the building stage, there's knowone that has built their own?

Mine is a 4 link. It is a knock off of the "MULES" set up. There is almost as much geometry is the rear suspension as the front. The two systems also work together.

I originally installed a 4 link. Between my goofy tape measure and ride height change, I am starting from scratch. I am not ruling out a 4 link. Where I stand right now I have many options. Thanks for posting. Anyone else

Well, I'm working on a 3 link for my 67 Firebird. I just wanted to build my own besides I have more time than money. I am still in the design / layout stage. I don't really know what I am doing LOL! I have a few books and I think I understand the basics but it seems too simple, I feel I must be missing something since they cost so much to purchase one. I don't have any pics since it doesn't exist yet but If I could I'd post a DXF or something of the design out of TurboCad. BTW I am planning on using Ballistic Joints from ballisticfabrication.com.

Sounds like you are as rich as I am. When I started this project I was hoping I would have it near completed before I had kids. Anyway...... Thanks for the post and be expecting a PM. I have read that building a 3-link is a little more forgiving than a 4-link. :_paranoid . That should get a few people to chime in.

If anyone is interested I'll post a DXF of where I'm at right now. It doesn't have much detail but I'm mainly using it to get the geometry right so I can cut the mounting brackets.

I finished one in my mustang a few weeks ago just before it began to snow. Drove it around and it feels better than the stock four link anyway. I'm steering too much in the same turns I'm used to driving on.

The bad news is the books used for drawings of the anti-squat were wrong, and I have more than I wanted. Seems okay so far. Goosed it on dry roads and it just gets up and goes. Seems like no squat at all.

There's also a clunk on big bumps. I'll re-engineer it in the spring. That's the price you pay to save thousands.

You could copy one of these http://www.evolutionmsport.com/evmCart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=47&zenid=f16d589b33b1314efa1cff7cd8665f38 or http://www.rrs-online.com/3linkproducts.php both use a watts link tho.

Yes I tried that and it gave me strange results and I told him. He realized there was a mis-type in there. Should work now. He has set it up for one link below, two above.

Also check the program links at the bottom of my page in the first post.
