My wife and I just bought a 67 Camaro with a Tremec 5 speed. It's my wife's car for all intents and purposes and she wants an automatic. So we're are probably going to put a 700 r4 in it. Does anyone know if you can use the horseshoe style shifter with it? Or was that style of shifter even in existence in '67? Forgive my lack of knowledge. I'm a Ford guy.

Yes. You just have to trim the gate on the shifter if memory serves me right. :D

What are you going to do with the 5 speed. I just took a 700r out of my 68 camaro and want a 5 speed. Want to trade or sell? I have the center console, shifter, with the correct plate for 700r, wire harness.

I'm in Hawaii so the shipping costs for a trade might be as much as a new tranny. What part of California are you in?
