Ok, If anyone wants to come to see what life is like in australia, i have a deal for ya. I'll put you up here at my place free of charge for a couple of weeks if you return the favour when i come to the usa.

I live in a reasonably big city in North QLD. (The sunny capital :) )

We have the great barrier reef right on our doorstep, and many other great tourist destinations very close by. (Rainforests, beaches, coastal islands, and more) Australia is an amazing place with vastly different landscapes within a few hours travel. Summertime is coming up in the next few months and its a great place to see.

I wanna see the states, but trying to get a working visa is hopeless, so i figure this may be an alternative solution.

Anyone interested?

rayman,
What part of the US are you wanting to come to? And for how long?
My wife and I own a condo in the Destin/ Fort Walton area. it will sleep up to 10 people. It's not beach/ocean front but it is Beach/Ocean View. Walk out of condo cross 2 lane highway and your on the beach. I can walk out front door and be in the water in under 5 min. We use a managment company (southern resorts) to keep it booked for us but there are some slow times. Would be willing to talk with you alittle more about this. 1 week might be doable but 2 might be pushing it on our end. Send me a PM and let me know what your possible schedule is.

Rayman..I'm sure lots of people would jump on that trade. I'd love to see Austraila. I live on the west coast of Florida close to beaches (5 miles) so pack your bags. :)

Yeah smak_talker, thats the idea. Accomadation is usually the biggest expense when on holidays.

Ideally i'd like somewhere close to the pomona swap meet, i really wanna see that, but i'm open to other locations.

Let the negotiations begin :)

The Pomona swap meet, lol thats funny. If you go to LA you must go to many more places then just pomona.

As we said before....The Hot Rod Power Tour 2006 kickoff party in Kissemmee, Florida would be a great place for a "car guy"...too many awesome rides to drool over.

Never mind all that. Just come to New York City and I'll show you a good time. One good cab ride up and down Broadway is all the excitement that a car guy needs. Then some pizza at Lombardi's in Little Italy followed by a great rock show at some dive downtown. And if you are so inclined, we'll find you a little rug burn on 1st avenue near midtown after hours.

To the contrary, Australia has always been adream destination for me. It'll be a coupla years before I can take you up on the offer, though. In the meantime, my door's wide open if you end up in NYC.

How about a vacation in the Great Smokey Mountains? The most visited National Park in the country. 20 million visitors a year so we must be doing something right. Dollywood is just an added bonus and if you plan the right week, you are in for one of the biggest car shows on the east coast. Hiking, biking, shopping, eating. I liked it here so much, I moved here 10 years ago and still have not seen everything the area has to offer.
