Some simple, some covert. We have a lot of newbies here, so, give up the goods...what does your screen name mean?

Ummgawa...what Tarzan was called by the locals in the old Movies.

Jimmy Sean
12-11-2008, 06:13 AM
My name is Sean James and both my middle names can be used as first names also. I had a boss that would tell me that serial killers had all first names in their name and started calling me Jimmy Sean. I just find it funny and it rolls off the tongue pretty well. BTW I have not killed anyone yet. :omg:

I used to get told that I should have brought my car back to original. So I would just tell them it's my car and I'm building it to be exactly what I want and that's something that I think is cool and enjoy driving almost every day.

Its German for heretic. A heretic is someone who believes a vehicle does not have to look exactly like it did the day it rolled off the assembly line. Heretics will quite often change the look of a vehicle that they purchased with their own hard earned money to suit their own taste (or lack there of). We are hated and shunned by another group known as "purists". Purists are a clan of extremely angry and foul mouthed know-it-alls. These folk love to tell heretics how they have "ruined" a perfectly good, priceless, last of its kind, one of 400,000 made, vehicle, even though they would not have purchased said vehicle themselves to save it from desecration by "a hack" or "butcherer". They will gather together and ramble on endlessly about the awful injustice of you being able to purchase something no one else wanted to pay for and do with it as you please.

CCRACIN = C&C RACING = Chad & Chops Racing Chops is my Dad's nickname.

This was an email address I set up when we started racing. I wasn't allowed to use symbols and it had to be 7 characters max. I have just kept using it as people that know me recognize it.

Josh69 is simple enough, my name and year of my car...which happens to be the 3rd one so it's worked out.

My name on some other sites is 2bar, which was the max boost of my Lotus Esprit. Doesn't really pertain to this site, but it's a more interesting story!

One of my favorite movies Paul Newman,Tom Cruise COLOR OF MONEY. In the movie a pool player asks Tom Cruise what he had in his pool que case ''DOOM'' replies Cruise. I do'nt know why but it always stuck with me. Years later I was running a quick 16 at our local track and a obnoiccious competitor ask what I was running ,and I just blurted out ''DOOM!'' Now its my answer for any question that I do'nt want someone to know..:_paranoid :lolhit:

jst8a5.0
12-11-2008, 07:24 PM
When I was 18 I built up a 1974 Pontiac Ventura sleeper of the century with aluminum headed 400. 5.0 Fox body mustangs were a dime a dozen (ricers at the time always swerving in and out of traffic) and I would walk all over them. Never lost to one 5.0 so I put it on the license plate "jst8a5.0" (just ate a 5.0) just to taunt them and it stuck.

Mine is the short initials for my shop....SVP Unlimited and often referred to as just "SVP". Then that stands for 2 things...I make and offer some parts for niche groups which uses the original Special Vehicle Products Unlimited...brought about by the focus originally on Mustang SVO's and SVO was Special Vehicle Operations.

Then for the cars we build it is Special Vehicle Productions Unlimited.

Originally when I started the business it was just supposed to be SVP.com for the website but at the time it was taken so I added the U to it and made it unlimited(never checking who had svp.com). It was only about 3 months later I found out that svp.com was a German Porn site when one of my customers called me questioning why he couldn't find any parts on the site.

Beach Cruiser
12-12-2008, 08:37 AM
In the early 80's all the hot rods would go down to Atlantic Ave and "cruise" the beach. I still have the same Camaro now, and I live at the beach. The strip is too crowded now for the Camaro and they have "anti-cruising" laws so I ride my bike which is coincidently a beach cruiser. It's complete with RS badges, rally stripes, redwall tires and the required beer holder! Our local AutoX site is also on the beach (giant hovercraft landing pad). No matter where I go, I'm always "beach cruising"

Man, I remember those days! The strip was PACKED bumper to bumper. I had a friend that lived there(I lived in Southern MD at the time)and we used to go down there just for the cruise scene. I also remember when they started cracking down on it. All the fun stuff gets taken away!

Mine came about from a childhood hero, fellow Scot and rally driver Colin McRae - now sadly no longer with us.

Van B
12-12-2008, 09:26 PM
In the beginning my screen name was 69LT1 after my 69 Camaro with the LT1. (On Ebay and some other forums I still have that screen name) After that car was sold I decided I did not want my name tied to any one car so I changed it to the first part of my last name, Van Buren. A customer at work calls me that because when he used to be a taxi driver they would refer to Van Buren street in Milwaukee as Van B for short.

Nine Ball
12-24-2008, 04:50 PM
When I was first getting online, I joined a billiards message board first. I think that was back in 1993 or so. At the time, I played way too much pool. I became a collegiate conference champion at 9-ball, and then played pro tournaments for a few years. Even had a cue sponsor (Bludworth). I don't have much time for the game nowadays, but I can still shoot okay. Anyone wanna gamble? :)

Guess the name stuck. I use it on every board I'm on.

Hang in there and think positive! It's better to down size and keep working than keep the larger rent/building that surely will put you out of business.....sounds like you made the right decission!

DFRESH
12-28-2008, 02:42 PM
Started in High School, was reinforced at the steet races -there was a rapper named Dougie Fresh back in the day---Since my name was Doug, it stuck every race I went to. College was no different---I don't think I actully heard my real name until I graduated and was handed my diploma. The guys at the tire store I worked at actually had my name changed on my work shirts to "D Fresh". I still here it at many of the Head Up races I attend---younger guys are like--"dude, that's a gay name"--but I've held onto it since there were so many good memories surrounding it.

3SuperSports
12-28-2008, 03:12 PM
A long time ago I tried to get "SuperSports" for a screen name and since it was taken, I started getting other site generated suggestions (I don't remember which site), anyway I went ahead and put a "3" in front since at the time we had a 68 SS-396, 69 SS-350 and a 69 pace car - SS-350. I was safe for awhile, when I sold the pace car I still had a '94 S-10 SS, but got rid of it a little later and am really only "2SuperSports" right now.

Well when i was in high school my parents bought me a ford svt contour (loved that car) and for one of my birthdays my parents got me a personalized liscense plate for my car. ABADSVT. Later in my life on my way to my engagment photos i was side swiped by another car. It totalled my car but for some odd reason i have always kept that name. I use it on all of my online forums.

Mine is part of my heritage and what I drive daily, I'm from Cape breton Island off the east coast of Nova Scotia Canada and we're called Capers by everyone, even all the teams at the University are called Capers and I drive a Ford F150 so hence the name Caper150, I use it for all the fourms I'm on.

Mine first started off when A blonde in a Z3 BMW drove by me she was a 10 and the car wasn't bad either. Her plate read FNFAST . It caught my eye so I told the wife about it . She said get it for your car, I explained it was a real state reg tag and there could only be one. We kept talking and came up with FNQUIK . The next day she came home with the paper work she had ordered it for me. ( What a sweet heart she is. ) So I told everone thats the way I hoped the car would run, but so far its how all my money has gone scese I started this project FNQUIK!! lol

01-25-2009, 08:42 AM
Countryboy cause thats what I am. When I was a kid my dad drove big trucks.
There was a place in Ky called countryboy mack. the logo had a boy with a hay straw hangin from his mouth. I do that all the time and had a hat with their logo on it. So it stuck. Now my race team is called Countryboy Motorsports.

BTw It is also my cb handle when I am in my Mack Tri-axle.;)
