Has anyone used an LS F-body oil pan(gm 1255-8762) in a DSE subframe? Or any LS f-body pan without fitment problems? Just want to make certain the pan aint gonna interfere with the dse crossmember. Im using DSE LS engine frame mounts and motor mounts.

Thanks Rich

I'm using an f body pan on an LS2 with the DSE sub-frame for a second gen. with no problems. I used DSE's mounts also, there is very little clearance at the crossmember ( around 1/4 inch) but it clears fine. I also had an LS7 pan on the block while I'm still mocking up and it also clears. If your going to do many track days with the f body pan also look into the pan baffle from www.improvedracing.com to prevent oil starvation during extended high G manuvers.

You have covered all of the ones that will work on a DSE sub. I am now running an F-body pan on my car.

LS2/3 pans will NOT clear on a DSE sub. The baffle is not straight across but semi circular. the motor will come to rest on this portion of the LS2/3 pan in a DSE sub. I still want to cry when I look at the pics.......

I have good luck with the Holden LS-2 (6.0) pan.

The filter pad is in the front of the engine, large depth (short in length) REAR SUMP.

I would like to see a picture of the DSE vs block.
I would like to see a picture of the DSE steering.

You have had good luck with a Holden LS-2 pan in a DSE subframe?

Clarify your last 2 questions, they don't make sense.

Lance, are you referring to the Holden Commodore/Pontiac GTO pan that's a front sump?

My stated pan may be similar to the L-92 (4WD) here in the states, not the same.

We bought some new Holden 6.0 liter engines with
an oil pan with a rear sump.
The sump was deep (under crank to ground) AND
"short" in length (from flywheel side to 4th. main ).

The filter pad is in the front, LH side.

GMPP, 2009, shows a LS oil pan.

They call this the Hot Rod pan, fits GM cars from 55-65.

The pan pictured seems similar to the L-92 4WD, though shorter sump.
